For four months, Casper survived alone in the jungle—scared, hiding, and carrying a past we may never fully know.

After what we believe was abuse in a former home in Puerto Rico, he learned not to trust—until he found the courage to step into the safe arms of SAFPR. That moment changed everything.

Casper isn’t broken—he’s tender. A special boy who needed patience, structure, and understanding.

With Thanksgiving approaching, stepped in, opening their doors and hearts. Now Casper is learning routine, confidence, and most importantly, that he is safe.

He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and loves other dogs. He’ll thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help guide him as he continues to heal.

And for whoever chooses him—we’ll help support his transition with continued training.

He’s a 6-month-old, 25-pound sweetheart: gentle, calm, and well-mannered. While we’re still working on leash manners and basic obedience, he’s already crate trained and potty trained. He loves other dogs and people.

We are in taking Mom and her puppies today!!
They will go through our vet/nutrition protocol and then be available for adoption!!

Donations go towards their vaccines, medical needs, food, resources, etc.

Thankful these three dogs made it on a flight heading to Pittsburgh and they all have places to land (at least temporarily).
