So this is LONG but such an amazing story of Gods plan, of survival, and good people.. We have kittens and Gabbi Major had state FFA convention this week in Lexington. On Sunday, Mark was going to check her car out and when he popped the hood.. ALL EIGHT KITTENS were sitting on her motor!!! He managed to scare them off and got her new battery put in but we knew we would need to check it before she left Monday morning. Monday morning we pop the hood and there sat ALL EIGHT KITTENS!!! We beat on the car, honked the horn and sprayed water down behind the motor.. seeing some scatter we were sure they were all out. Gab left and made about four stops on her way to Lexington Ky, she would listen for kittens, and look for kittens and she heard nothing and saw nothing. She arrives at County Inn & Suites in Lexington and proceeded with the first day of convention. Tuesday morning she goes out to her car and to her shear shock she heard kittens crying..!!! They made the whole trip, three hours riding down behind the motor of her car. Gabbi and several of her students tried everything to get them out but couldn’t.Luckily she was parked in front of the hotel and there were bushes right next to her car. She got food and water and left it in the bushes. These kittens were still nursing and never had real food. I frantically started making phone calls to various rescues and they said they could not help. I called animal control and they went twice but had no luck. The girl working the front desk went out several times and never saw them.. I finally got the idea to call a tow company.. I started with the first one that came up which was Non Stop Towing and Recovery Lexington. I told the owner of the issue and said I would pay him even if he couldn’t get them. He replied I AM NOT LEAVING TILL I HAVE THEM. About an hour later I received a picture of him holding the kittens. Gabbi had already been to the store to get a basket, litter, and food for them. I called and asked the hotel if they would keep them at the front desk until Gabbi arrived back at the hotel.. Then I asked if they could take them to her room so I told the hotel manager of the whole story and he said I will take them to her room and make them comfortable (picture below) and boy he set them up nice.. Michelle Casebier Picicco recommended I call a vets office to see if I could board them for a few hours on Thursday as Gab had to check out of the hotel but the convention was not o over.. I called the first on that came up, told the story again and asked if they would board them the girl replied I live two minutes from Rupp and I am off on Thursday and would be happy to watch them.. God had that all laid out and everyone was SO willing to help. I am happy to report the kitties are back home, safe and sound with their mommas… God always prepares the way.. Praise him 🙌🙌🙌
