Meet Ozzy!
Ozzy is a 3-month-old mixed-breed puppy who was surrendered locally here in New Hampshire and is now ready to find the committed, dog-savvy home he deserves. Currently around 20 pounds, Ozzy is expected to grow into a handsome guy of around 70 pounds.
Ozzy is one of those puppies people instantly fall in love with. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and intelligent, with a strong eagerness to please that makes training both fun and rewarding. He thrives on structure and routine and loves working for food—training sessions are truly his happy place! He’s quick to learn and knows “sit, down, crate, place” and is working hard on “leave it”. At meal times, he runs into his crate and sits to wait patiently for his bowl.
He is fully crate trained and views his crate as a positive, safe space. He is also about 90% house trained and continues to improve with consistency.
As a typical high-energy puppy, he may occasionally resource guard high-value items or things he manages to sneak. To set him up for success, meals and high-value items should continue to be given in his crate, along with ongoing positive-reinforcement training and consistent boundaries.
In the right home, he is going to grow into an exceptional adult dog. He strikes a wonderful balance—playful and affectionate, eager to learn, yet confident enough to settle and relax on his own. He has not yet been tested with cats.
Ozzy’s Perfect Home would include:
- A home with another friendly dog to help show him the ropes and provide a great outlet for his energy
- A dog-savvy family with children ages 12+
- A fenced yard would be wonderful—Ozzy loves to zoom around—but it is not required
- A committed family who will continue to build on and reinforce his already impressive training using positive reinforcement
Ozzy is up to date on vaccinations and will be provided with a health certificate prior to adoption.
