Meet Luxe!

Hi, I’m Buddy and my name says it all!

I am a 2 year old, 55 lb mixed breed pup. What’s mixed breed you ask? Well it’s 50% adorable and 50% cuteness to make 100% good boy!! And did you notice my eyes?? How can you resist them when I’m looking your way? They give the expression puppy dog eyes a run for their money!

My story’s a little wild. One day I darted across the road in front of some nice humans. Hours later by some miracle I showed up in their yard. They searched everywhere for my family, but no one came forward. So they welcomed me in, gave me a soft bed, belly rubs, and the kind of love I hadn’t known before. Now I’ve been living the good life with them for a few months, and let me tell you I’m thriving.

I’m the kind of dog who turns strangers into friends and houses into homes. I’m your ride-or-die, your porch-sitting pal, your hiking partner, your couch co-pilot. Whatever you need I’m there for you! If someone’s at your door, I’ll let you know before the doorbell even rings that’s how good I am!

Hi, I’m Joanna and for the first time in my life, I’m figuring out what it means to be loved.

I’m a 5-year-old Boston Terrier girl, weighing just 10 pounds, and until recently, I was part of a breeding program. That means my whole life was spent having puppies, not being part of a family. But those days are behind me now. I’ve been retired from that job, and I’m ready for the most important role of all, being your dog.

At first, I might seem a little unsure. I didn’t grow up with couch cuddles or belly rubs, so all this attention is new. But oh my goodness once I realize you’re safe and kind? I’m a total lovebug! I’ll follow you around like a tiny shadow, jump up gently for snuggles, and claim my spot next to you on the couch like I was born for it.

I’m great with other dogs big and small, and even cats don’t bother me! I sleep quietly in my crate through the night which I know some families love since not everyone can fit in the bed. Hi there! We are Darcy, Kira, Fletcher, and Ayla!

We are 4-month old Australian Shepherd puppies and currently we range in weight from 8-18 lbs. Full grown we should be between 20-40 lbs

You’re probably looking at us thinking, Oh my goodness, they’re beautiful! And yes we won’t argue with you there. We’re fluffy, photogenic, and breed-savvy folks know we’ll grow into intelligent, athletic adults. But behind these pretty faces are four very scared souls trying to learn how to be just puppies.

We didn’t get a proper start in life. For the first couple months, we had no exposure to the world, no people, no toys, no adventures outside. Because of that, we’re now playing catch-up and we’re very, very nervous. Everything is new, and most things are still scary. Loud sounds, sudden movements, even just being approached too quickly. We don’t know what to do with it all yet but we are hopeful that someday we will.

Ayla is the tiniest at just 8 pounds and also the most scared, she may growl if she feel’s cornered, because she’s afraid, not mean. Fletcher is the biggest at 18 pounds and a gentle giant, but he’ll hide when he gets overwhelmed. Darcy and Kira are right there with us, quietly taking it all in from a safe distance.

Here’s what we do know. We love other dogs and a confident dog in the home is a must for each of us. We feel safest when we have a canine role model to follow. We’re also fine with cats which we know is a good thing. Sadly we cannot go to homes with young children, we’re not ready for the noise, energy, or unpredictability.

We’ve never been on a leash and will require a physically fenced yard while we learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. We talked as a group and we also decided we cannot be adopted together. As much as we love each other, being separated is vital for our individual growth and confidence building.

All of us will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and have our health certificates before adoption. We’re not easy puppies, but we think we are worth it. We need adopters willing to put in the time, lean on the rescue team for guidance, and give us the gift of security and understanding.

That means the window to help shape our future is now. The right families for us won’t just admire our looks they’ll understand that patience, structure, love, and commitment are going to be essential to help us blossom into the amazing dogs we’re meant to be. At 5 years old and about 18-20 pounds, I’m a sweet Shih Tzu mix with a gentle heart, soulful eyes, and a name that says it all.

I haven’t had the easiest journey, I’ve been passed around quite a bit, which has made me a little unsure when I first meet someone new. But give me just a moment and maybe a tasty snack, and you’ll see the real me, a cuddly, loyal, lovebug who just wants to feel safe and cherished.

I adore attention and am happiest snuggled up next to my person. Hold me close, and you’ll hear a quiet sigh of contentment. It’s the sound of a dog finally starting to believe she belongs.

I got the name Big Momma because I spent the first 5 years of my life as a breeder dog, having litter after litter without ever really knowing what it meant to be part of a family. But now, I’m finally getting my chance to shine and I’m not looking back!
