CHEVY came for a visit today!!!!
His mom even brought Chevy's best friend Cooper! ❤️🐾🐾🐾 In the 2nd pic they are looking at their mom. The 3rd pic is of Chevy before he was adopted, when he lived at AWS. We were all so happy to see Chevy and see he is living his best life.

Happy 4 year Anniversary!!! ❤️🐾🐾🐾
4 years ago today, Snoopy left the shelter for a two week adventure. We thought Snoopy was going to be a "lifer"(a permanent resident of AWS). After spending years at the shelter, the perfect human for Snoopy walked into AWS. Even though Snoopy tried to bite him at their first meeting, the man was not deterred. A week later, Snoopy, with his bag packed, left for a trial weekend. The weekend turned into a two week stay which turned into a forever home. ❤️ Snoopy just loves him!
The 1st picture is of when his dad picked Snoopy up for his two week trial stay and the other picture is of them on the beach four years later. ❤️🐾

Happy 4 year Anniversary to Snoopy Doop and his dad!
We Love you both! ❤️🐾

Max and Chloe ❤️🐾 10 year old bonded pair. Must go together. Spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. We will have the vet check out some lumps on them. Based on the findings, they may be available to be fostered. Looking for a quiet home for them.

If any of our adopted animals ever get lost, please contact us immediately along with animal control. Do not wait days/weeks. There is someone at AWS who will literally camp out in their car, etc.. at your property (trap) or last spotted sighting even if you can’t be there. We love all our animals and it kills us to know one is lost.

HELPING THOSE THAT CANNOT HELP THEMSELVES.. BEING THE VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS...

CAPE MAY COUNTY ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY IS A 501c3, non-profit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to providing help to the homeless, abused and neglected animals. We will provide love, food, shelter and care until our animals can find a permanent, loving home of their own. We offer a PET FOOD BANK, which is located at our shelter for those that may have fallen on hard times, and need a little help feeding their best friend(s). Our belief is if we can help provide pet food, it may lower the chances of someone having to surrender their animal because they cannot afford to take care of him/her. The shelter is open from 10am-1pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed on Mondays.

We have also when funds were available, helped those in the Cape May County community with their vet bills for their furbabies.

We have a thrift store located on our property called, Barking Bargains. The thrift store, Barking Bargains is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10am-3pm. You can’t miss the huge Thrift Store banner out front.

We always welcome and are looking for volunteers.
