This week is again light riding ONLY due to heat, unmounted is also an option! If choosing unmounted, be ready to choose between: Disciplines (types of riding), Horse Colors, (Blue) Barrel ride, Horse care (how to muck, hay, water), or TPR.

This week is going to be HOT 🥵 but the humidity is working with us a little bit.. so this week lessons will be an optional mounted OR unmounted session. If mounted is chosen, we will only be doing light riding (slow and mental more than physical).
Bring water and be sure to stay hydrated!

We had a fantastic time today at Hilltop!! What a well run show, and the girls had some tough competition! Can’t wait to go over our score cards during lessons and work more on becoming what we can yet be ♥️ the sky is the limit and these girls are working hard. I do want to call out one rider in particular, today though. Miss Riley… how proud I am of her (not because she got first .. that’s just a result of her hard work and dedication) she has been working daily… I am not over exaggerating.. DAILY!!! on her dressage test at home on foot, on the white board, in front of the tv, on a daily basis!! And she absolutely schooled ME on it. She rode that test all on her own with me only helping with little tweaks here and there (I even almost made a big mistake and she did NOT let that happen 😆). And she scored a 31!!!! 7’s across the board!! Way to go Riley, keep being your amazing, dedicated, horse loving self and you’re gonna go so far ♥️ proud of my girls today😊♥️ God is great!!!

That’s a wrap! Beginner/intermediate camp week is officially over. So bittersweet! Today we painted Boo again, and did much better learning some of the horse anatomy we went over yesterday! We also had a hobby horse show with our craft stick horses, and we ended the day with an ice cream party 😋🍦

Camp week has been underway for a few days now, and we have accumulated quite a few photos!! Our learning theme this week has been horse colors, and everyone has been learning about such, so be sure to ask them what horse colors they can name 😃
The last few days have been hot so we rode first thing in the morning before it got too hot for the horses, and we are looking forward to the cool weather these next two days!

It’s HOT!!! Evening lessons tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday (and possibly Wednesday too, depending on heat index) are going to be unmounted so the horses stay healthy and happy for future rides! You can plan to come dressed in shorts and boots, and the tack room will have the AC unit ready to go to keep us cool as we learn! Bring water!
