Michael is one of our handsome Nigerian Dwarf goats and a quiet favorite around here (shh don't tell, we aren't supposed to have favorites).

He’s curious, gentle, and always nearby when we’re doing chores—just close enough to supervise, but never in the way.

Like most goats, he loves snacks and sunshine, but it’s his calm, steady, loving presence that makes him really special. He reminds us to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the simple things.

We love Michael!

Join us next week for our first official adoption event at our new Petco partner location, Petco Cerritos!

Maple Bar, Newport, Ranger, Sniper, Ramen, Mitts, Harissa and Eeyore are planning to be there along with over 20 other adoptable cats and kittens ready to meet you and looking to find their forever families.

Come by and meet the kitties and take them home same day if you are ready.

We encourage you to put in an application on our website in advance if you are planning to attend.

Looking for a new best friend? Meet our adoptable cats and kittens this Sunday, July 27th at the Petco in Brea from 10am-5pm 😻✨🐾

Mitts, Harissa, Stencil, Canvas, Charcoal, Carl, Jelly, and friends all look forward to seeing you all there and potentially melting some hearts just enough to get adopted and go home with their forever families❣️🤞🏼

Our adoption fees are as follows:
$200 for any cat over 1 year old
$250 for any cat/kitten under a year

This fee covers all of their vaccinations, microchip, and their spay/neuter so they are ready to go home with you that same day.

We highly encourage filling out our adoption application beforehand if you plan on adopting just so we can better assist you the day of.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: CAYENNE 🌶️ 🐾

Little Miss Cayenne was adopted last year and sadly returned to us this year due to her many health challenges.

Although Cayenne is a beautiful cat with a lot of love to give, she is going to require a special home that is going to give her all of the affection and attention she deserves and needs.

Cayenne has epilepsy which means she has frequent seizures and will need to be on medication for her whole life. It’s uncertain what triggers her epileptic episodes, but what we do know is that her medical condition does not stop this cutie patootie from living a happy life.

She loves to be held and will ask for pets and cuddles. She will follow her person around the house and enjoys her daily churu treat after taking her meds.

Cayenne’s adoption fee is waived as we know that her medical needs will be a big financial responsibility for her next adopter. We are confident her special person is out there and are hopeful she will find her perfect match soon🤞🏼❣️

We are so excited to be partnering with for a fundraiser this Friday, July 11th! 🐼🐾🤗

This fundraiser runs all day at any location nationwide, just make sure to order online or through the app and add in our fundraising code 9004975 at check-out. This applies to all delivery and pick-up orders as well.

All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly towards animal care here at One Love and will also allow us to help even more animals in need this summer ☀️

RESCUE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: GOOSE 🪿

Goose is a gentle giant with the sweetest heart. He came to us as a stray found in the city of Chino Hills. We suspect that his former owner left him behind after they moved because it was clear when he came to us that he was no street cat.

The street life was not kind to our dear Goose as there were very obvious bite and scratch wounds all over his face and during our initial intake protocol, we discovered that he was FIV positive.

Goose is a candidate for our forever foster program and he’s looking for someone to open their hearts and home to him for the long term. Because of his condition, Goose will need to be the only cat in the home but is cleared to be in a home with dogs and other animals.

Our first adoption event for the month of July is just around the corner 💙✨🐾

Join us next Sunday, July 13th from 10am-5pm at the Petco in Brea, yay!

All of the cats and kittens you see pictured in this post along with many of their feline friends will be present and hopeful that Sunday is their time to shine in order to find their forever families that day 🥰🤞🏼

Our volunteers will be available to answer any questions regarding the adoption process, how to foster or volunteer with us, and how you can donate to our efforts of animal rescue.

As we approach 4th of July, we want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday weekend and remind you to make sure to consider the animals in your life during the celebrations.

While many of us enjoy fireworks and festivities, the loud noises and vibrations can be incredibly overwhelming for animals. While some aren't phased or even enjoy participating in the firework fun, many others are extremely scared. Some panic in fear and break through windows and fences trying to escape the noise, others tremble in fear, hide in bathtubs and closets and don't recover for days. Many animals accidentally injur themselves in their panic or get lost trying to escape the sounds. Wildlife and outdoor animals like birds and community cats are also deeply impacted, often disoriented or driven from their safe spaces which disrupts the local ecosystem. Many of these animals lives are permanently altered.

The sad truth that we don't talk about enough is that 4th of July is the absolute worst day of the year for animal rescues like us. We medicate those that tend to be anxious in preparation, we stay up all night long checking on everyone, trying to distract them and comfort them from the scary sounds as best we can. Then, the next morning comes the flood of hundreds of calls and emails about pets that were lost or found after the fireworks were over and while we do our absolute best to help, we can't say yes to every lost animal that needs a place to land as we simply don't have enough space for the need that is created after the 4th of July weekend. Sadly, many of these pets lost on 4th of July never find their way back home.

Here’s how you can help:
🔹 Keep pets indoors and secure in a room with music or TV on
🔹 Make sure collars and microchip info are up to date
🔹 Avoid backyard fireworks if possible (these are also a fire hazard)
🔹 Talk to your vet in advance about medication options if you have an anxious pet
🔹 Be mindful of outdoor animals, wildlife, and community animals
🔹Lookout for animals roaming the streets that appear to be s

We have back to back events this weekend that you don’t want to miss out on 😎☀️🐾

Saturday, June 28th from 12pm-3pm we will be popping up at Little Cottonwood Park for the Paws in the Park event in the city of Los Alamitos.

Here you can enjoy a variety of our educational animal interactions including visits with our sanctuary bird mascots, tortoise viewing, and playtime with our adoptable kittens.

Sunday, June 29th we will be having an adoption event from 10am-5pm at the Petco in Brea.

This event will be a standard adoption event like the ones we typically have where you can visit with our adoptable cats and kittens, apply and meet them in person, and adopt the same day.

Whether you can attend one or both events our rescue animals would love to see you there! 🌼❤️✨
