One thing to know about me, I’m HONEST to a fault. I was grooming Daisy today and I’ve been sick lately and she put up with all my pausing etc. I 100% picked up the clippers and forgot to switch my blades. 😩 so she got a shorter head and ears because I hit those too before I realized I messed up. I immediately stopped and texted mom and she was very understanding and I told her I would not charge her full price or discount her next groom. Totally agreed to that. If I mess up, I own it. I love your dogs too much to send them out looking bleh. Luckily she grows fast and I bet she will be fluffy in her ears and head in no time. I see a lot in the grooming world where they blame the clients a lot for their mess ups. Not me, I’ll always be honest about my mistakes.

Just want to brag on my niece for a minute! She told me once I was her role model and even tried being a groomer but her allergies said “absolutely not!”. She gets her fix by helping me color dogs if she’s not being the best mom out there! She’s very artistic like her mom of course. Definitely stay tuned to see how her pup turns out! It’s going to be amazing!

We had a LOOOOOONG day here at Barking Sloth! We had THE best boy on the table. His mom wanted to surprise her nieces with a zebra and I think we nailed it! We tried to follow real zebra patterns we saw and kept mom in the loop!

Duke had MULTIPLE breaks and treats! Seriously was the best boy! He also has a corded tail that his mom takes care of.

Shout to my niece who helped today, I couldn’t have done it without you Nicole!
