Leave it to horses to remind you that you should always expect the unexpected! Also with seeing the unexpected is also a good time to correct any future bad behavior. You never stop learning and they never stop learning.

So I’ve decided to change the name of the business back to Betsy’s Equine Services and start offer more than just lessons again. But Facebook is being difficult and won’t let me change the name on this account so I will be creating a new one in the near future.

Lessons like the one today remind me that I’m on the right path and there is nothing quite as wonderful to see a new horse and owner start to grow together. It’s hard to put into words but the smile says it all 💕🐎

Sierra is my 22 year old fox trotter she’s one of a kind spicy and sassy and her neck reining is great so today we did a little of just leg cues . Her and I have come a long way 🥰

A lot of people like the thought of gaited horses because of how smooth they are but don’t understand that the move out quickly and can cover ground in a timely fashion which the scares them also lots of gaited horses are trained differently than most other breeds so confusion for horse and rider are a real thing . This is my new to me Rocky Mountain horse gunner and a little bit of our trail ride today 💕

I’m a western rider and instructor I can help you with the process of just getting started to advancing your own skills . I also specialize in gaited horses so if you have wanted to get the chance to ride one I can help also if you have a gaited horse and can’t quite get them to gait properly or consistently I can help you there too . I’m aloo a big trail rider and love to explore our beautiful trails so if you want you and your horse to get out on some trails but not comfortable going with out guidance let me know and we can work on that as well . I’m a small facility that is relaxed and comfortable by and not uptight I understand that we all learn different and things need to be adjusted to each individual .

This is what’s new so far !
Winter hours are first lesson starts at 9 am and last lesson starts at 4 pm .
I currently can only give lessons Sunday through Tuesday but with enough clients I will be able to expand . I’m also currently working a full time job .
The cost : ages 4-7 $25 for 30 min
8 - 13 $50 for 1hr 14- adults is $65 for 1hr+ time depends on advancement and skill level . Veterans $ 50 for 1+ hr also depends on skill level sometimes can go a smidge longer .
Haul in’s ( you bring your own horse ) adults is $55 , $40 for 8-13 .
Moble ( I come to you ) $75 1hr
17 and under requires a helmet ,18 and over helmet is not required but highly encouraged .

I decided to go a slightly different route with the business I would love to help build confidence with you and your horse I also give basic lessons for those just getting started or if you love horses and want to be able to learn the equestrian lifestyle . Last but not least if you’re ready to start trail riding but not sure where to start I can help you and your equine partner slowly work into more challenging trails . This saddle is from the 30’s and is my youngest sons riding saddle and my lesson saddle for smaller people it was due for a deep cleaning . Top pic is before then drying then after oiling and conditioning. With all the scratches and ruff spots it probably has had some adventures.
