So this has been the first week of Palladia for so far no side effects and we have reduced the prednisone from 20 mg a day to 10 mg every other day in hopes to eliminate the urinary incontinence so hoping that helps.
this stuff is pretty interesting, I have to wear gloves and dispose of them properly and not touch anything, so in 3 more weeks when go in for follow up and ultrasound and blood work we will see what happens, but for now the prednisone is keeping the daily episodes of low blood sugar crashes handled so thankful for that.
will update more in a few weeks =)
thank you also to everyone who chipped in on the gofund me I cant thank you enough, its been a rough year not being able to find any work and just keeping the insurance on him has been tuff too, and they do cover a bit but not all and I have to pay up front and wait a few days for them to reimburse me.
its going to be 1000 a month for each follow up for the next 4-5 months which I hope mostly will be covered, they covered half of the 3500 dollar CT scan but did cover 100% of the Palladia and the visit to the Blue pearl so with some luck they will cover some of the follow ups.
thank you all again

this should be interesting,
https://www.akc.org/legislative-alerts/california-update-committee-considering-bill-regulate-hobby-breeders-tuesday-4-16/

it should come as no shock to anyone that if the government provides a hole for people to throw stuff into by the means of the public good, then as much as can be will be toss in to this hole.
Dog shelters provide an escape for people to dumb thing and no wonder there is more dogs today then ever in history in shelters because they let anyone dump a dog there.
its an easy way out for people and for those nefarious actors just pumping out dogs as fast as one can have them.
Despite vets and eveyone pushing spaying and neutering numbers are at record highs, there are more dogs in shelters then there are homes for them and it always seems shelters spend the most time on the dogs that are most difficult to adopt out.

More government is definitely not the answer, leave it to the private sector and rescue groups, and even they are not all good by any means. but sure beats more tax dollars going towards a unsolvable problem and by its exitance is making it worse.

On Tuesday, April 16, a California Assembly committee will be considering a bill seeking to address concerns in animal shelters and change the definition of breeder in California code to encompass hobbyists. The proposal, as currently written, insinuates that people who breed as few as ONE litter ar...

Its really sickening that most vets will recommend doing this at 4-6 months, and most day care boarding facilities won't take your dog after 6 months if they are not spay or neutered as well.
If you have behavior issues this wont help 99% of the time either.
