Wrapping up Mastiff Week, we couldn’t think of a better way to close it out than celebrating one of our very own gentle giants — Sydnee May!

Her favorite hobbies?
✔️ Daily hikes through the neighborhood
✔️ Soaking up belly rubs like she’s at a doggy spa
✔️ Gently babysitting any kids in sight (seriously, she loves young children and is so protective around them!)

Recognized by the AKC way back in 1885, the colossal Mastiff is part of a canine lineage as ancient as civilization itself. 🏛️🐕

These heavy-boned giants are the perfect mix of docile dignity and formidable protection. Their broad heads, wrinkled foreheads, and signature black masks give them an appearance that can be a little intimidating at first — but behind those kind, alert eyes is a heart of pure loyalty. ❤️

Mastiffs are patient, lovable companions who thrive with gentle training and early socialization. Their natural wariness of strangers makes them excellent guardians, but also means they need thoughtful handling from day one.
