Here’s a Friday Feel Good Story…Meet Ozzy. This cute, little fellow enjoys cuddling with his humans, and playing endless hours of fetch. He does not enjoy playing dress up; he deals with it for the smiles it gives his humans. He is very loved by his family and they told Paws for Prevention they were so thankful for the discount certificate to get him neutered. Although we no longer are funded for the discount certificate program, we feel good that we have been able to help so many families like Ozzy’s! Our funding is now focused on controlling the stray and feral feline population through our TNR clinics.

Here's a Friday Feel Good Story...Another successful TNR Cat Clinic! And it was HOT! But the 20 Crawford County cats were just fine. The cats rode off to see Dr. Nanci at Pet Wellness of Southern Illinois in Effingham in a nice air-conditioned van. Pictured are some of the cats that will no longer be contributing to the overpopulation problem we have in Crawford County! Thank you to all who helped make this possible!

Here's a Friday Feel Good Story...With today being the first day of summer, let us share with you a special ray of sunshine. 🌞 Meet Elaine Hasty. 🌞 She is one of the original founders of Paws for Prevention. Without Elaine, we could not be doing what we are doing. Oh sure, she has lots of support and encouragement from her Paws for Prevention Board and her husband Dave, but she is the grant writer that has gained us the needed funding for our TNR clinics! She is amazing and we feel so good to have her on our team! Thanks to Elaine, we now have the necessary funding for monthly clinics throughout 2025. Our June clinic is already full, and July is filling up quickly. Message us if you would like more information on our TNR Clinics.
