🚨 Urgent Call to Action! 🚨 Today we need a volunteer to step up and foster a declawed cat from Pleasant Heights. Unfortunately, the owner has been admitted to a nursing home. The cat has never been outside and is reported to be 9 years old. It is a spayed female. OFF will help with vet expenses to make sure the cat is ready for a new home. Please contact us ASAP if you are willing to adopt or at least foster. The apartment must be vacated by the end of the month.
Almost all the dedicated volunteers behind OFF’S Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program have moved away. OFF was formed by Barb Knuth and Peggy Nagy, neither lives in Oxford any longer. The non-profit does have some limited money for vet and food expenses. We are still paying for food for the existing colonies that we have fixed. We inherited these colonies from people that have passed away or went into nursing homes. There is one volunteer that feeds the cats. He is busy trying to get a handle on a large colony left when a husband and wife both went into a nursing home and the cats were left without a caretaker.
If we want this vital nonprofit to continue saving kitty lives, Oxford residents must step up!
Without new volunteers, our community’s stray, abandoned and feral cats will be left without the care they desperately need. Are you ready to make a difference? The non-profit is all set up and we have all equipment you need.
No experience? No problem! We will provide all the guidance you need. Comment below or send us a message to get involved. The future of our Feline Friends depends on us! 🐾💙
Please send us a message if you can help.
