When you’re too short to reach the bottom and want the chicks down safely, you improvise and give them a slide!
*No chicks were harmed in the making of this video*
When there’s a break in the weather we clean the coop! Leaf blowers do a great job cleaning all the nooks and crannies out fully. Hopefully the rain, and mosquitoes, aren’t stopping your summer too much!
Its here!
Why are these piggies so excited? It's almost Christmas for one! The main reason for the excitement around here is because our website is up and running! With the help of the masterful Angela Robertson, you can now order our products directly from the website.
This is the perfect time to secure your families food for the new year. A half or whole pig is a delicious Christmas gift! With the threat of a mutated COVID-19 the world may very well go into crazy mode again and the last thing you want is to be at an empty grocery store. Again. A fully grow pig should last a family of four for 6 months if pork is on the menu 3-4 times per week.
We know it's Christmas time and budgets are extremely tight this time of year, specially so with the year we have had. When you secure your order of pork you only pay the $100 deposit up front. Then when the pig is fully processed, around March, you pay the remainder. So you have 2-3 months to recover from holiday shopping like we all need to.
*** WE ARE GIVING AWAY A FREE SAMPLE CUT OF PORK WITH EVERY DEPOSIT FROM NOW UNTIL JANUARY 2ND!!!***
You will get to immediately sample the difference between our pork and "the other white meat" you find at grocery stores.
We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season!

Look at that big pig-puppy shake!
Here’s the video of why the pigs move their paddocks often. The first field you’ll notice is full of vegetation. The second one we show is the paddock they just moved out of. The ground is fairly bare in some areas and most of the vegetation has been eaten or trampled. The last paddock is what they were in the week prior. It’s starting to get new plants growing. We move our pigs often to ensure they have plenty of wild plants to eat as well as give the ground time to regenerate itself.
Please ignore my commentary. I forgot I was recording. The pigs were moved into their next paddock today. I will post a video later today to show why they get moved so often. For now, they’re enjoying new foliage and their breakfast. We hope you all stay safe and have a wonderful today!
Today is a historic day on The Sutton Ranch! The forest paddocks are open! With the additional 5 areas these ladies now have plenty of forest goodness to live in. It has been months of hard miserable work and our only hope is they eat some of the poison ivy. It’s the least they can do.
Fun fact: pigs don’t have oils glands so they can not be affected by poison ivy.
Un-fun fact: We are completely sold out with this round of pigs! Stay tuned for the next round of 12 pigs!! Let us know if you’re interested in locking in your share today!

Watering the pigs. They’re getting big! They enjoy their water puddles on these hot days and love drinking from the hose
