Did you know that 4th of July is historically the busiest time of year for local shelters and humane societies in the US due to lost pets running loose? Please be sure to take extra precautions to keep your dogs calm and inside during fireworks, provide a safe place for them to retreat if they're scared, and make sure they are wearing ID tags with properly fitting collars! This last point is very important! You never think it will happen to you until it does. Your pup will thank you, and your weekend won't be ruined with worry. Stay safe, and don't forget Caramel, Keta, and Nongikea are all looking for their forever homes!
