🐾 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION 2ND CHANCE HEALERS 🐾

We currently have Lady, Sadie, and four puppies looking for their forever homes. ❤️

🐕 LADY — 4-year-old German Shepherd
Lady is housebroken and loves hiking, swimming, car rides, and playing ball. 🎾 She tends to prefer women but will warm up to men once she gets comfortable. She does well with most dogs and would be best with older children. Lady will be getting spayed before going to her forever home.

🐕 SADIE — 2-year-old Mini Aussie/Border Collie
Sadie is housebroken and crate trained, does well with the older dogs here, loves car rides, enjoys playing and getting exercise, and settles down nicely when asked. She comes when called and loves being with her people. Her coat was previously shaved but will grow back. Sadie will also be getting spayed before going to her forever home.

🐶 4 PUPPIES — 10 weeks old
💙 3 males
🩷 1 female

These are Ember’s remaining babies, born June 14. Momma Ember is a Plott Hound and Dad is unknown, so the puppies are believed to be mixes and should be around medium size when fully grown.

✅ First puppy shots completed
✅ Second puppy shots completed
✅ Dewormed multiple times

If you are seriously interested in Lady, Sadie, or one of the puppies and would like to set up a meet & greet, please send me a message. 🐾❤️

We have three girls here at 2ndChanceHealers who still need to be spayed, so we’re getting all of their veterinary care and appointments lined up. ❤️🐾

Momma Ember is first. She has an appointment Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Wallenpaupack Veterinary Clinic for another checkup and to move forward with scheduling her spay.

Ember came into the rescue on June 14 and gave birth to her puppies that same night. We wanted to give her body time to recover from having and caring for her babies and to get some weight back on before moving forward with her spay. She already has a wonderful family waiting for her, so we’re getting closer to sending Momma off to start her new chapter. ❤️

Next, I’ll be scheduling appointments for Sadie and Lady so they can be checked over and get their spays scheduled as well.

Sadie is our 2-year-old Mini Aussie/Border Collie. She has settled in beautifully, gets along with the pack, and has become especially close with Ember. She is a sweet little girl who has really started showing us more of her personality since coming into the rescue.

Lady is our beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd. She loves her ball, hiking, swimming and car rides. She is housebroken, does well with most dogs, and once she gets to know you, she is an incredibly loving girl.

Once Sadie and Lady are spayed and ready, they will both be looking for their forever homes. 🐾❤️

All three girls will be receiving their veterinary care through Wallenpaupack Veterinary Clinic, a clinic I have trusted and used for years.

If anyone would like to donate toward Ember, Sadie and Lady’s veterinary appointments and spays, donations can be made through:

Bella & Jack had themselves a beach day! 🐾🌊

These two are staying with me for a little while, and we took advantage of some decent weather to head to the beach. They got to splash around, explore, and even play on the playground for a bit. Of course, I had to sneak in a little photo session too. 📸😂

I held off on posting this collage because I wanted their mom to get her picture first. She got it today, so now I can finally share these two cuties! 💜

Just finished up with some clients, stopped by Bella & Jack’s mom’s house, and now we’re back home watching the weather. If the rain holds off a little longer, Yara, Tucker, and some of the rest of the pack may be heading out for a hike next. 🐕🥾🌲

Never a dull day around here!

🐾 5 Puppies Still Looking for Their Forever Homes! 🐾

Five of our sweet puppies will be ready to head to their forever homes on August 16th! 💜

If you’ve been thinking about adding a new four legged family member, send me a message if you’re interested in adopting.

📸 I’ll be getting updated photographs of all five available puppies later today, and I’ll post them so everyone can get a better look at each one.

Please feel free to share and help us find these babies the loving homes they deserve! 🐶🏡💜

Every dog that ends up in a shelter or rescue has a story. Some were never given the training they needed. Some were bred without a plan. Some simply became inconvenient when life changed.

But behind every kennel door is still a life waiting for someone to show up.

Rescues and shelters can’t do this alone. It takes responsible owners, fosters, adopters, volunteers, trainers, responsible breeders, and communities willing to work together. Spay and neuter. Train them. Make the commitment. And when you adopt, understand that bringing a dog home means being there for the hard days too.

We can do better. We have to do better because they deserve more than promises. They deserve a chance. 🐾❤️

Congratulations, Barry! 🐾❤️ Today he officially went to his new home and started the next chapter of his life. He has been such a sweetheart, and it has truly been a pleasure having him here at the rescue. We’re going to miss him, but we’re so happy for him and wish him nothing but love, happiness, and many wonderful adventures in his new home. 🏡

Every shelter dog has a story. Sometimes, all they need is one last walk, one kind hand, and one more chance. Tomorrow could be their day. ❤️
