Hi friends, we need your help. 💔
Our sweet boy Ma$e (3-year-old pit mix) needs a new home. He is the biggest baby with people — loyal, cuddly, and so gentle with our family, our other dog, and even good with our cat. He’s neutered, microchipped, house trained, and knows his commands. He’s also trained on a collar, doesn’t run off, and is not food aggressive at all.

This is not a decision we want to make — our hearts are truly broken. But after a recent heartbreaking incident with a neighbor’s dog, our neighbors are demanding we either rehome him or put him down. We love him too much to give up on him, so we’re hoping to find the right family who can give him the safe, loving home he deserves.

👉 The perfect home for him would have:
A fenced yard or lots of property with no close neighbors
Open to other dogs (especially large dogs, since he loves to play)
No small children
Someone patient and experienced with bully breeds

Ma$e deserves a chance to live a safe, happy life — he truly is a lover with humans and the funniest, biggest baby. If you or someone you know might be open to meeting him, please message me directly.

🐶🐱 KTF Animal Shelter is excited to be at the Dunbar Community Fest for another year! This a wonderful weekend event that celebrates Dunbar's community and it's people.

🎊 We will be setup in the Dunbar Library parking lot so stop by and see us!
🎊 We will have adoptable puppies and kittens waiting to meet you!

😊 Looking forward to meeting more of our neighbors tomorrow!

🐈‍⬛ BRUCE may sound like the name of a tough alley cat but our BRUCE is a fluffy, cuddly, sweetheart. 💕.

🥰BRUCE visited with his friends at Alpha Veterinary Services today to have his ears rechecked and made his way into Brittany’s arms for a quick cuddle.

BRUCE is FIV +. But what does that mean? Here are some myths and facts:

🐾 FIV cats will be ill and suffer - in actuality, the virus is very slow acting and most cats never reach the point of noticeable effect.
🐾 FIV is extremely contagious - the virus is almost always spread by a deep bite wound. 🐾 FIV cats will die young - basically the only FIV cat that will die because of being FIV is one that has been a long-term stray, uncared for and having a poor diet, that has already succumbed to multiple secondary infections. This will not be the case with an FIV cat that is otherwise healthy, cared for and has a good diet. Cared-for FIV cats invariably die from exactly the same causes as non-FIV cats - FIV cats die with the virus, not from the virus.
