🍊🎡 citrus fair in my hometown of Cloverdale was a blast! Thank you Theresa Gowan for putting on a great show and the opportunity to judge rabbits in small animal Round Robin! The kids we have in the area are truly amazing. Their sportsmanship, willingness to help each other, and dedication to becoming better and building each other up is truly admirable. We as adults should be taking notes from these kids! They truly represent what this hobby is about.

I brought 10 Bevs to this show and had a lot of interest in the breed. A majority of youth who stopped by had never seen or heard of the breed, it was so much fun to talk about them all day! Lil Scandal recieved BOB and Bennett's Path3 took BOSB show A under Kate Smith. Lil Rumor was BOB and Haben's F1 (Ben) BOSB for show B under Misty Polasik.

For Mini Rex - Show A under Randy Shumaker, we recieved:
BOG and BOSG Self with Lil Vendetta and Lil Moto Moto
BOG and BOSG Tan with Lil Lovey and Lil Asterian
BOSB with Lil Moto Moto 🥳 Congratulations to Lois and Kate on BOB with a Sr broken Doe (who was an honorable mention for BIS A)!

Show B under Misty Polasik - I'll update when I get the show report, but Gabby's white Sr Buck recieved BOSB! Go REWS!! 🥳 and Lois and Kate's Broken Sr Doe recieved BOB show B as well!

I decided last minute to add my Brits right before the deadline closed - and happy I did!
Show A under Kate Smith I recieved BOV Otter with my Sr Doe E-man's Cola, and BOSV Otter with my Jr Buck Esmeralda's Pop. Geronimo decided he didn't want clothes for the show and full on blew his coat on Friday 🤦🏼‍♀️ But! He was able to pull in BOV White and BOB! Cola was BOSB! 🥳

Show B under Randy Shumaker
BOV and BOSV went to Cola and Pop for otters again and BOSV White went to Geronimo. They flipped and Cola was BOB and Geronimo BOSB 🥳 The Jr Rew was some tough competition

🏆Congratulations Theresa on your RIS A with a beautiful Cal Doe! For show B, Theresa took BIS AND RIS!! BIS with a New Zealand and RIS with that same Cal Doe! She also recieved BIS and RIS in the open cavy show! She killed it!!

🏆Emilie also won BIS with her homegrown Mini Rex Knox under Kate Smith!!!!! 🥳🥳 She also killed it at showmanship. She won the Jr showmanship class, advanced to intermediate, and qualified for Round Robin! I'm telling y'all, these kids are amazing!

Nice show in Gridley this weekend! Lots of time with friends and lots of fun! Congratulations to Lois and Kate Smith on your 4 BOBs and 1 BOSB this weekend! 🥳 Theresa Gowan, Stefani Wright, and Emilie also locked in some BOB and BOSB wins 🔒🏆 🥳
I also got to see one of my favorite boys 😶‍🌫️ I gave my angora, El Dorado, to my friend Carol because I just didn't have time to keep his coat up and it wasn't fair to him to always be cut down. He looked AMAZING and got 2 BOSBs this weekend! I'm so so happy to see him so beautiful at his full potential and very greatful to Carol for taking such amazing care of him and letting me snuggle that sweet boy 💕

It was the first time Moto Moto, Vendetta, Moo Deng, and Missy E hit the table - and they did great! We really don't keep black Mini Rex because of the amount of space we have to work with, but man am I glad we held on to Moto Moto and Vendetta 💕 We had a few DQ's this weekend because I didn't look at both confirmations sent and had to re-enter them correctly... Oops! 🤭

It was also the first time 3 of the 6 Bev babies I have hit the table! Rumor recieved BOB every show (except one as my entry was scratched) and Path was BOSB 2/4 shows. The 2 jrs and my pre-junior recieved great comments and have a much more correct coat than the ones I've produced so far. I've been struggling with too much snap back to the coat, but these babies have the potential to have great rollback! I'm very very excited for the others to hit the table next weekend :)

First all REW litter 🥳🥳🥳 When I got my first REW from a Black Otter x Black Otter breeding, it was quite a surprise. They've come to be one of my favorite varieties and I'm so excited to have some planned REWs 🤗 GC Lil NWA had 6 healthy babies and fed them very well for being a first time mom 💕 I was hoping she would take after her mom, Mather's VC, who consistently throws 6 kits with no DOAs - she did not disappoint!!🤍🤍🤍

One of my favorite shows and the first one of the year in the books!! As always, Bunny Bash in Vallejo was AWESOME! Thank you to the club for putting on another great show! We took Mini Rex and my moms havanas - the rare breed show didn't happen, so no Bevs this time around. We got a few class and group wins and BOSB under Griffin Harrah in show B with Lil Harper! Our good friend Lois Smith recieved BOB AND BOSB under Louis Porter 🥳🥳 She also recieved BOB show B! My mom's Havana Din Din recieved BOSB and BOV both shows. Griffin's Black Havana was BOB show A and his cutie broken chocolate BOB show B! 🥳
We showed a very young Jr Doe out of Ethels last litter, and she got GREAT comments! Obviously she didn't have a coat (the coat she does have is DENSE like her daddy), but I was going back and forth on selling her. I am happy to say that all babies from Dre and Ethel's litter will be hanging around as National prospects 🤗
Dre and Hip Hop went to a semi-local youth to make pretty babies once Hip Hop is done showing! 💕💕 I LOVE all the babies he's thrown me so far and I am SO excited to pass those genetics on to a youth close by 🤗

Fun show in King City last Saturday! I was good and took a picture of the control sheets for show A, but totally blew it for show B and C 🤦🏼‍♀️ It was Bun on the Run and Blizzars' first show and they did well! Snowball and Harper came in hot Show A which is AMAZING because it's their 2nd show. I usually never hold back any blacks, but I just couldn't let this girl go for a long time! I'm looking forward to showing her until she goes home with someone else.

Some great wins for my very first time showing at ARBA National Convention!! I've been in rabbits for 2 years, and breeding for about a year and a half - it's been a wild ride. I brought 3 animals to convention this year since it was my first one and I didn't know what to expect. There were a lot of really BEAUTIFUL animals in that building and it was intimidating.
If you're worried about showing at convention - you should just do it. I almost didn't enter anything or go because I was worried my animals weren't enough for Nationals. I am SO happy I not only sent animals, but went. There is so much to learn, so many people to meet, and so many breeds to see!
I am SO proud of the quality of animals I've been able to produce and put on the table this year. It was AMAZING seeing these high quality animals up close and getting hands on some top class winners in MR.
As always - there's room for improvement. I have a goal of next year of placing top 10 in Mini Rex and keep my Beveren in 1st of their class. The goals I had for Nationals were to place top 30 in Otter Mini Rex and top 3 in Beveren. I didn't think my animals stood a chance, so I almost didn't send them. With a lot of encourgment from judges and friends, I entered. Since Lil Lovey placed in top 15 and my Bevs the top of their class, I will be pushing myself harder to nitpick and produce better animals to put on the tables next convention. It will be hard, but it is achievable.

Congratulations to all the class, variety, group, breed, and show winners! And Congratulations to everyone who entered their animals. Everyone in that building knows the time, energy, love, and care that goes into placing an animal on that table.🏆
