I always believe in focusing on the dog in front of us and tailoring our approach to their needs. For example, with a recent dog, I took things slow by trimming just one or two paws halfway during each session to keep her stress levels low while building trust over time. The end result was definitely worth the patience! She now enjoys her favorite treats while staying relaxed in a down position during nail care, and I get to enjoy quality bonding time without any jerky paw reactions.
