It's a POP-UP mini palooza! Kittens and cats looking for a home will arrive for a short visit on Saturday, July 26th from 10-1 at the PetSmart in Broken Arrow. Adoption fee is $55 which includes vaccinations appropriate to age and spay/neuter. Boxes to play in are free! Goodie Bags, and coupon books. Come find your furry friend and put a little POP in your life!

Palooza yesterday saw some cuties adopted, but we are so happy for our long-time Palooza attendee, Carl Dutton, who finally found his forever home! Sometimes it just takes a little extra time to find your special someone and the magic happened Saturday. Thank you to all the volunteers and PetSmart BA for helping to make it all happen. Behold! Today is National Tattoo Day! Effie is modeling her spay scar and her tattoo. When our kitties go to be spayed or neutered, they receive a little green tattoo by the area on their belly/lower torso that indicates they are "fixed". Let's celebrate Tattoo Day, and please spay and/or neuter your pets so there aren't too many who need a home but there aren't enough to go around. Happy Cat Tatt Day!

These two cuties (the kittens, that is) are looking for a home. We and our partner, Brandie Willard, from the Sapulpa Shelter were on KTUL's Tail Waggers with hostess Joie Bettenhausen to talk about keeping pets cool this summer and reminding everyone about the upcoming Kitten Palooza this Saturday (July 12) at the PetSmart in Broken Arrow. It starts at 10:30 am. The kittens will be expecting you!

Loud noises are not a cat's friend! Be it cannons or fireworks, cats can be frightened with all the hoopla. Be sure to bring them indoors during the festivities and have places they can hide where they feel safe. You might also try room diffusers with calming effects such as Feliway. Wishing everyone a safe and happy celebration of Independence Day.

Hello everyone! Missy Prissy didn't hang out with the kittens at Kitten Palooza on Saturday but found her home while just chilling in the adoption center. Palooza was a smash with many finding a home and hopefully everyone learned a few tips to include your pet in any disaster that comes your way. If you couldn't make this event, we'll be back on July 12th so mark your calendars.

June is National Pet Preparedness month so we are highlighting ways to prepare you and your pet for challenges that life throws at us. Tornadoes! Floods! Fires! Bobcat fever! Volcanos! Poison!
