Look at this sweet smile! 😃

Stevie came to us after being hit by a car. She needed an amputation and also had additional surgeries due to some serious complications. Now she's fully healed and is a dog that exudes happiness and wiggles her whole body when she wags her tail.

Stevie absolutely adores people and wants to make friends with everyone she meets. (And ask anyone that knows her, we adore her too!) She CAN be wary of men, so a female foster/adopter would be better.

For now, Stevie would do best in a home without other pets. We are working with a trainer and a behaviorist to see if she can learn to get along better with other dogs.

Stevie is now in a foster home, but we would love to find her soon!

Buster Brown!

Buster is around 5 years old and he is as sweet as can be! We believe he is partially blind and can see peripherally and make out shadows. He is now in a foster home and will be on prescription food.

This sweet guy did a short stint with us as an office cat and he was adopted back in 2023 but he unfortunately was returned to us. 🥺 This was a difficult decision for his previous adopter but we understand and will now try to find him a forever home! 🤞🏼

Cubone!

Cubone is a true survivor. Found with a severe case of mange and alone curled up in a strangers yard. She then was rescued by the Animal Aid angels who then took her to the vet where she received treatment where she then met the amazing vets and staff of woodland west who then made her feel and look so much better.

Despite her rough start and the scars to prove it she is full of love and now ready to meet the perfect family.
Cubone is a sweet, loyal girl and great with other dogs who loves being with her human and following them around she enjoys outdoor time unless you are with her and then she is all in. When she gets excited she tends to jump up but with some patience and consistency she is learning down and off. Cubone hasn't had much experience with cats or kids but her foster momma thinks she may probably do just fine around them. She is affectionate and eager to please she needs help with leash walking, but she is crate trained and almost there on potty training currently using a dog door. Her favorite activity is chasing her foster siblings around the yard chasing after balls favorite being the tennis ball or the little blue raquetball she likes chewing on her nylabones benebones and loves having that kong filled with her favorite treat. She would most likely thrive in a moderate to active home with other dogs to play with.

Kashmir!

He’s a stray cat that was extremely scared and skinny, he was also completely matted and had mutilated ears 😭💔

Kashmir has been recovering in a foster home. He is still decompressing and hasn’t been as social but we’re giving in all of the time he needs! 🥺🙏🏼

Heidi!

This pretty girl is finally cleared after her surgery and a few weeks of crate rest!

Heidi is currently in a foster home but she was showing a little bit of destructive behavior so she’ll be going to a trainer for board and train sessions soon. We want to ensure that she’ll thrive in her !

Heidi is around a year old, has been spayed and is up to date on vaccines. She is dog and cat friendly.

Here’s a picture of our guy Guinness at one of our recent adoption events!

Guinness came to Animal Aid as a community cat that frequented a local bar when he needed food. One day, this friendly guy turned up injured and needing help with a fractured leg. Fortunately, it turns out he's an indoor kitty at heart and is loving life in his foster home. He is an A+ snuggler and loves pets. In fact, he will often try to grab you if you aren't currently petting him to demand more. If you pet him long enough he will actually begin to drool in the most adorable way because he is so relaxed. ☺️

Happy from Kiara!

Kiara came in with some gnarly leg wounds and at her exam, the vets also found that she was pregnant and full term but there were no heart rates.

Her wounds are looking so much better now and she’s at a healthy weight! She is estimated to be around 5 years old.

She’s been fortunate enough to have a foster home to recover in, but she really needs a !

Tommy Fury! 🧡💘

Tommy Fury is our longest stay cat at 1 year and 6 months 🥺

This sweet guy is about 8 years old and came in looking pretty rough and full of battle wounds. We don’t really know his backstory but he is definitely a survivor! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Tommy is FIV+ and good with other cats and dogs!

Tommy deserves his forever home!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Oh Diesel! 🥺🥺

Diesel has now been with us for over a year 😩 419 days to be exact 💔

He’s in a foster home with other dogs and he’s learned to make friends! He can be trusted to free roam and he does great as long as there’s no food out. He’s also been great at sharing toys with the other dogs. 🥹🥰

His foster thinks that he would be great for someone in an apartment as he doesn’t bark much and he just wants to be a couch potato! 🥰

Diesel is deaf and around 9 years old. We know he’s good with other dogs, he would just need a slow introduction. He’s still a big no on cats though 😅

Please consider adopting Diesel, he needs his forever person to give him a chance too!! 🙏🏼🤞🏼

WE HAVE THE BEST NEWS EVER!

After being with us for 235 days, Adira found her ! 🥰💕

Adira was found by a sheriff’s deputy near the Tulsa dump. Sure had a degloved jaw and other injuries that were likely a result of a dog fight.

We initially thought Adira needed to be an only dog but she was in boarding and we needed a foster commitment before we could do an assessment with a trainer. We were finally able to find her a foster and with the support of a donor, we were able to get Adira a full month session of board and train. It turned out Adira loved being around other dogs! 🥹💕🙌🏼

Lotus came to us from T-Town TNR after a severe dog attack, which led to the amputation of one of her legs. Despite her challenging past, this petite sweetheart is healing and learning to trust again. She is much more playful now! 🥰🥰

She’s been at our office which is not ideal but she’s slowly coming out of her shell! We’d really love to find her a foster home so she can socialize more. Or even better yet, find her home!

She is about 3.5 years old and FIV positive.

Happy Monday from Monday the dog!

This handsome guy is so ready for his home!

Monday is an intake that’s been with us for about 6 months now. He was severely emaciated and was showing some skin issues. The vets said they were most likely related to the lack of nutrients and look at how handsome he looks now!! 🥰👀

He is just the sweetest guy! Monday is about 3 years old. He’s okay with other dogs but not cats.

Here’s little Miss Dahlia playing some peekaboo! 💐

Dahlia came in with a terrible case of stomatitis. She had 12 teeth extracted! 😱She was also spayed and is HW, FIV & FeLV negative.

Our vet thinks that she is still young at about 8-12 months old, so she’s had a very rough start to life already but she has been such a brave girl so far! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Have you ever met a shy dog that you instantly fell in love with? You can look into their eyes and see how much they need a kind person to give them a happy life? Sable is just that kind of dog. When meeting new people she can be timid. But it doesn’t take long before you will be her favorite person! This girl loves to be outdoors in the sunshine so would like a home with someone who also likes to spend time outside. She would be the perfect buddy to hang around with in your backyard and show you that YOU are the love of her life!

Veronica!

She came in with a terrible case of mastitis, she had open sores and was super skinny. She likely had a litter of puppies and was then dumped. No puppies were found near her so we hope that they have found better fate than Veronica.

Veronica is in boarding but desperately needs a foster home to recover in 🙏🏼
