Whew August! I put in a LOT of miles and I've been working like mad to try to get this van thang sorted with a vehicle that works for both small and large passengers!

There is SO much effort put in by SOOO many people to get pets to safety.... I never ever want to forget what it looks like to get them LOVED!

With all my heart THIS is the life I want for them all!

YES I'm STILL working on raising enough money to get the vehicle that works for all of our needs!

There are days I have a VERY difficult time not driving a dog straight to my house! TODAY was one of those days!

This big hunk of a man, Draco, has had a go of it. He's just a pup and he was in a shelter in CA labeled as "aggressive" for trying to protect the very person who was dumping him.

Royal Kennels Rescue, located in San Tan Valley, had actually arranged transport for another dog named Helen, when a foster in Tucson stepped up, nearly begging her, to pull Draco. She agreed to put him on the transport too.

Well, Helen's foster fell through before the dogs even got back to PHX. Draco's foster picked him up on Saturday and by Sunday realized he was too much dog for him but was unwilling to take him back to PHX

This morning, in the pouring rain I made arrangements to pick him up and get him back to PHX.

He's a sweet young boy who needs gentle guidance and a safe place to learn how to be a big dog. He has that now....and I have slobber on the headliner of my Mazda.

Also, it 💯 IS a QT hotdog.

You guys!!!! Look at little Bennett! Poor boy was so nervous when I picked him up from Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control the kennel literally vibrated (UNTIL I bought QT French fries) the folks from Sunshine Dog Rescue met me in Casa Grande to take him to meet his new foster dad!!!

Oh Bennett you're safe now!!!

We are getting SO close! I have been shopping like CRAZY trying to find the perfect fit!

Needs to have ❄️ AC that reaches the back
Big enough for ALL of the giant dogs 🐕‍🦺
Good gas mileage for when I'm driving 400 miles in a day or when I'm just running to get 1 kitten 🐈
Low enough to load a piggy 🐖

"Psssssst Sir, if you turn left at the light the Pollo Loco is RIGHT there!" Sorry bud, not today!

When we delivered the 3 kittens to their new Southern Arizona Cat Rescue (SACR) foster mom we ALSO picked up this little hitchhiker making his way to Hunter's Kitten Lounge! He and his 2 siblings are accepting resumes for their forever staff!

Through an Orphan Kitten Club grant SACR also provided these posters for the NEW cat room at Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control!

In other news!!! In our continuing effort to help Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control provide quality care for the kitties in Nogales our rescue partners at Rescue Me Tucson GENEROUSLY donated AND arranged transport of these additional medical kennels to be used as an isolation ward for our feline friends!

Cats with URIs (upper respiratory illness) or ringworm can now be housed separately!

Thank you so much RMT and a HUGE thank you to Keith, the volunteer that spent this morning loading, hauling and unloading!

Yesterday was a DAY y'all! 4 pets, 3 rescues, 2 shelters, 400 miles and 9 hours on the road!!!

1st pick up at Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control 2 adult cats, one who was stuck on a lamp pole (yes, it WAS the orange tabby) one very shy little boy who literally wears his heart on his sleeve (shoulder) who has a bite wound abscess that is healing nicely headed to HOPE Animal Shelter, Tucson AZ AND a little Yorkie boy with a wound on HIS neck went up to PHX with Sunshine Dog Rescue

2nd pick up at the Arizona Humane Society in PHX to get Cooper to Hunter's Kitten Lounge !
