Día de Mu***os de las Mascotas is the 1st day of the Dia de Mu***os holiday celebrated from Oct 27th until Nov 3rd.

These days we remember our loved ones as their spirits come home to visit us. Our pets come home 1st.. Leave out their favorite toys and snacks tonight. Go for walkies in their favorite place.

May the scent of marigolds, chicken Churu and pizza bones lead them home!

This is Wednesday and these are her children!
She was one of my little passengers today!

She was an owner surrender to Animal Rescue Connection. The previous owner was "afraid" of her but Wednesday was just being a good mommy! Nothing a calm voice (and a QT we**ie) didn't fix!

"Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
The child born on Sabbath day,
Is bonny, blithe, good and gay"

I don't get to name anyone. Fosters and rescues do that....but in my own head, for the short trip we take together....I make up little names!

Another big day for the NEW van!
I Tetris'ed THREE XL Kennels and 2 med kennels to transport 6 puppies, 1 corgi, 2 Aussies, and 1 momma and her 5 week old puppies from Animal Rescue Connection in Wilcox to meet THREE transport drivers in Tucson headed in different directions!!

208 miles!

Lojack that tortoise! Sulcata's are NOTORIOUS for getting loose! Epoxy on a simple dog tag. I used marine epoxy to fix turtle shells back in the day. I bet that would work too. I'd think you could do something similar with an Air tag!

The next two months are going to be crazy! It seems every event that has waited ALL summer is happening RIGHT now!!

Add to that the owner of the company I contract with is leaving the country and I am minding ALL the shops while he is gone!

The dates in red are dates I will be unavailable due to work (🙄) or I already have transports scheduled!

November is equally bonkers! These are the dates that I have other transports scheduled, I have events or I will be out of state!

The Director of Hope of Deliverance, Inc. doesn't ask for personal favors very often. She does A LOT for others, other people, pets, other people's pets, so when she asks I do my very best.

A close friend of her music family had an emergency need for placement for two sweet Yorkies. Isabella & Giselle needed a ride from Peoria (yup) to Fort Huachuca.

So after I delivered some chickens and 2 poodles I picked up these girls, 4 beds, their favorite toys, leashes, vet records and a YEARS worth of dog food we all headed south to their new home!

450 miles! It was a LONG day but seeing these girls safe in a loving home, and doing a favor for a friend, sure made it worth the drive!
