Good morning everyone, I'm Fosbury Flop! I'm almost 3 years old and I'm a handsome brown tabby boy!

I came to the Hermitage in December of 2023 after the staff found me wandering around the property. I was quite shy when I first arrived, and wanted absolutely nothing to do with all the humans wandering around the shelter. Over time, I got more and more curious about all the attention my friends receive from them though! Recently, I've become quite brave, and have even made friends with the staff and volunteers who see me all the time.

While I'm still a little shy with strangers, with some patience and a proper introduction, I'll let you pet my fluffy fur! As you spend time with me I'll even let you give me scritches and scratches wherever you want! I'm a very sweet boy, I just need some time to get comfortable with you first. A home with someone who will gently encourage me to come out of my shell sounds pretty nice, especially if there are lots of comfy blankets to sleep on!

Good morning everyone, you may call me Kayel! I'm 6 years old and I'm a sweet and spicy brown and white tabby lady!

I came to the Hermitage in February of 2025 with my sister Layah! We were former community cats, but a family that had been caring for us spent a long time socializing us and helping us get used to humans. We are absolute besties, so we will have to go home together.

I can give some mixed signals when we meet, because I'll headbutt you and rub up against your hand for attention, but quickly get overstimulated and swat you. I won't give you a whole lot of cues before I get overstimulated, so you'll need to be patient with me while we learn together! I'm very sweet though, I promise. I know you'll be smitten after I headbutt you and blink up at you for more love!

Morning everybody, I'm Covergirl! I'm almost 2 years old and I'm a beautiful tabby lady!

I came to the Hermitage in October of 2024 with my babies. My kittens have all found homes of their own, and now I'm patiently waiting for a family! I'm a bit of a shy girl and prefer to hangout in the Room of Requirement or the catio attached to it. Sometimes it's nice to get away from all the hustle and bustle, you know?

While I am a bit shy, if you're patient and move slowly, I may just surprise you! I can be quite sweet once you've earned my trust. I'm slowly learning how nice it feels when you scratch my chin or rub my ears! You'll need to spend some time with me before I'm completely ready to go home, but I promise I'm worth it! One slow blink from me and you'll be smitten.

Happy Mature Meower Monday everyone, I’m Roary! I’m almost 12 years old and I’m a handsome orange and white boy!

I came to the Hermitage in February of 2023 after my owner could no longer care for me. You can frequently find me enjoying a warm sun puddle out on the Mature Meowers catio, all sprawled out to absorb as much warmth as possible! If you come up to me while I’m napping, I’ll greet you with a soft little chirp and make biscuits while you pet me softly!

I can be a bit particular about how I like to receive attention and when, so make sure you pay attention to my cues! I’m very clear about what I like and what I don’t, so you’ll be able to tell pretty easily how I’m feeling. I'm just a sweet boy looking for a sweet human to call my own, someone who enjoys lazy days and sunshine!

Medical: I had a bladder stone when I first came to the Hermitage and had surgery to remove it. I’ve been on a special diet ever since to prevent further stones and the staff thinks it’s working well! Please ask the staff if you have any questions about the care I’ll need once you take me home.
