HYOID????? What the heck is a HYOID????
Those 7 little pesky bones in the lower jaw of your horse..... Read on....
Summer is in full swing and so are horse activities: trail riding, showing, and hanging out with your horse. Is your horse not performing like you know he can or does he seem to be mysteriously "off"? Does he toss his head, avoid the bit, or favor going one way better than the other?
These problems could all be caused by ONE virtually unknown set of bones in the horse's head - the Hyoid Apparatus. BUT, few people know how to identify the imbalance and even less know how to correct the problem without the risk of causing injury to the horse.
For the month of August PhotonicHealth is offering our online Advanced Hyoid Assessment and Balance course with the purchase of ANY Photonic Light Kit - a savings of over $149!
That's right - you can drastically improve your horse's performance AND attitude by knowing how to identify when the Hyoid is out of balance and be able to fix it yourself quickly, easily and safely.
If you buy a Photonic Health Kit this month, You get a free HYOID balance online class.

Interesting info regarding lameness

When the horse is displaying symptoms of la...

Having a Passion and Purpose in Life is Essential for your Soul. From CC.
The donly people who never fail are who attempt little because they are crippled by fear. Fear throws sand in the equipment of forward progress.
When we fail our first step should be to discern how we participated in the failure - the errors we made. Until we have learned from the mistakes of the past, we are vulnerable to repeating them.
The second step is to forgive ourselves. Guilt and shame are unproductive. We must put the past in the past.
Third, we need to dream dreams and develop strategies for encore adventures. Failures are not final. Thomas Edison said, "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."

My human work is starting to get going. Meeting a friend tomorrow who's daughter has a very sore knee. Mystery pain. Here is hoping we get her some relief.
oh a happy horse..... Love it!!
I love the look of a happy horse. This lovely barrel racing mare started the day with ribs in spasm, hips out of balance and her hyoid bone displaced. Even though there were horses dashing past and barrel races nearby, she completely relaxed (unusual for her) and completely zoned out! Great Job by CPT Maggie Michel of The Balanced Horse!

During a Photopuncture session on a horse, the typical releases are licking, chewing, stretching, p*e or poo and a variety of other interesting things.
This is a photo of one other release, mucus, after a session that was done by a friend of mine in Iowa, Diana Connelly of Connelly equine. Thanks for sharing Diana.
