In loving memory of Amanda Bennett Click, 44, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

She was born on August 24, 1979 in Forsyth County, NC, to Harry and Carylon Bennett. Amanda was a vibrant soul who left an enduring mark on the world. A devoted mother of four, Amanda embraced life with a passion for art and a heart full of love. Amanda was the rock and anchor of a beautiful, blended family, sharing a love that will endure beyond her physical presence.

Amanda's artistic spirit flowed through every canvas she touched, creating a legacy of creativity and beauty. Her love for animals was boundless, as she found joy and companionship in her furry friends. A true hippy at heart, Amanda radiated peace and harmony, leaving those around her touched by her free-spirited nature.

In the journey of life, Amanda danced to the rhythm of love and lived each day as a celebration. Her memory will continue to resonate through the art she created, the love she shared, and the free-spirited essence she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. She truly changed the lives of many.

Amanda is survived by her children, Caden Click, Emma Click, Natalie Groff, Cole Groff; her partner for 13 years, Justin Groff; sisters, Michelle, Vanessa; brother, Gary Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 16 at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) 424 E. 92nd St, New York, NY 10128-6804 or your local animal shelter.

I have made some changes to some of my business guidelines. First, I no longer discount or prorate for partial or half days. I charge a daily rate and that rate covers up to 4 visits. Second, at the time of booking or scheduling a deposit must be made. Third, if you cancel your booking you will be charged a cancelation fee which is half of the deposit. Lastly, payment is expected at the time of service. Keep in mind I am a small business owner so when I book your pets and my schedule is full, and I can't book anymore clients, and then you cancel last minute not only do I lose out on your booking but I also lose out on other potential work. Like any other small business I do have expenses. Please be considerate of my time and my business, please don't expect to have different set of rules or rates than everyone else. I have gained a lot of clients since I started my pet sitting business. And I appreciate every single client and love all your furbabies greatly! And even though my pet sitting business has been highly successful, I have had some losses that hurt me financially like last minute cancelations, losing out on potential bookings due to cancelations, etc. If anyone has any questions feel free to message me or call. Just a reminder my pet sitting business is a full time job for me not a side hustle. And I really appreciate each and everyone of my clients and love all of the furbabies I have cared for. The average pet sitter charges a daily rate of $50, and most professional pet sitters charge more than $50, and the average overnight pet sitting rate is $75 to 85. My rates are well below what the average pet sitter charges daily. I give good quality care to all pets, and love them all like they are mine. I'm not a kid or a teenager, I'm an adult, I'm a professional, and I exceed all expectations when caring for your furbabies. I do not try to get away with doing the bare minimal. I always go above and beyond by doing little things like light housekeeping, taking trash out to the curb for trash day, cleaning up pet messes inside and outside, laundry, cooking meals for pets, taking care of plants and the clients house, and bringing in packages...the list goes on so with that being said it really upsets me when some act like my rates are too expensive, especially after all I do for my clients and their pets. I am almost always available, and almost always can take last minute bookings. I will and have literally dropped plans just to help my clients. And since I started pet sitting I have not canceled on my clients once or call out sick, I have actually have cared for pets while being really sick. I always show up, and I always spend quality time with the pets I care for. I don't just walk in spend 5 to 10 minutes and then leave. I spend 30 minutes or more with my furpals. The minimal time for a visit is 20 minutes but I almost always stay longer. Why?? Because I know pets miss their owners and I try to make sure while my clients are away they are happy and having fun. I also send pictures, videos and texts to keep my clients updated daily. I want to keep my rates reasonable because I am not trying to get rich off of my clients but I do value my time, the love I give your pets, and my business. I have only done one rate increase since I started my business and it wasn't a big increase. I don't like increasing my rates but the cost of living goes up every year. I know most of my clients respect me and value my pet sitting business greatly, and they show their appreciation and love for me by recommending my business to others or tipping. While tipping is nice, I don't expect them. And I know most people and families live on a budget and that'sanother reason I do not charge as much as most pet sitters. For repeat clients, I try my best to show my appreciation by continuing to do more than expected, and sometimes giving discounts or an occasional free day. I want to continue to keep my rates reasonable for all my clients. So please don't expect to pay less than others and don't expect to pay me the same as what a kid or teenager would be paid. I'm a mother of 4 and a small business owner. Pet Sitting is my life, my full time job. I love my job and I love animals. I want to continue to grow my business in hopes of one day in building a boarding facility and also have a animal rescue. Thanks for taking the time to read all if this. I will be available for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Please try to book in advance because I will be limiting how many customers I book so I can spend time with my family during the holidays. Also for the holidays there will be an increased rate for Thanksgiving, Christmas eve & Day, New Years eve & day. I will be asking for a deposit when booking for the holidays. The deposit will go towards the amount owed. Please keep this in mind while booking for the holidays. And if canceling please give me a reasonable notice or you maybe subjected to a cancelation fee. Please keep in mind I am a small business and self employed. If I provide services for you and your pets I should be paid in a timely manner. I do not work at another job so the money I make with pet sitting goes directly back into my business. Business expenses like gas to visit and check in on your furbabies, treats and other pet sitting accessories all cost money. When you don't pay it hurts me and my family. Also cancelations. I understand plans change and emergencies happen but if you do not need my services please give me a 24 hour notice if possible. When you are scheduled and cancel I lose out on income and the possibility of booking other clients. I take my job very seriously. I love my job and love giving all furbabies and the pets no so furry great quality care. But with gas prices I cannot be running around for free. So please keep that in mind! Thank you!
