Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association is a 501c3 nonprofit animal shelter located in Trinidad, Color Noah's Ark is run by a Board of Directors, Executive Director, Animal Care Supervisor, Kennel Attendants and a very devoted volunteer cadre.
We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in a wide variety of activities from our adoption events, thrift store workers, data entry, social media venues, kennel cleaning, dog walking, playing with cats, construction, drivers, groomers, etc. Please contact us if you are interested and have a talent you think we might be able to use!

Our Paws for Pride event focuses on uniting our community with our wonderful shelter pets, who love with all their hearts regardless of gender or sexuality!

Good afternoon everyone! We wanted to let our community and supporters know that we will be limiting our cat/kitten intake for a short time. Some of our feline companions in our care are feeling under the weather and we would like to avoid spreading the illness to other cats. Once they are feeling better we will return to our normal shelter intake procedures.
As a quick reminder both dog and cat surrenders are still by appointment only at this time.

Teams of Volunteers or Individual Volunteers... Noah's Ark sure can use some help with a special project.
On Tuesday May 24th, an empty semi trailer will be dropped off at Maniscalco's for NAAWA. We will then pack the trailer full (top to bottom, end to end) with bags of shoes & clothing. (The clothing and shoes are items that didn't sell at our thrift store). Once the trailer is fully packed, it is hauled away; each pound will earn money for the animals of Noah's Ark... and all that clothing will be recycled!
This project not only helps shelter animals by earning money, it also helps the environment by reducing waste that would just normally go to the landfill.
This project would also be a great team-building community service project for companies, athletic teams, organizations, or groups! Or you can sign up as an individual to help! Everyone who helps will get a HUGE shout out on our social media sites!
Know that if you help with this project, you are going to get dusty, maybe even a little dirty... you need to have a good back or at least be smart about lifting because it's gonna be repetitively physical... you may even want to wear some work gloves for good grip. (Because of the physical nature of this project, it would not be ideal for children under 16 yrs of age)

Isa is an amazingly sweet, loving, and happy kitty to be around. She is so soft and loves to be pet and cuddled! She is great with other cats and all people and could adjust to most dogs. If you notice Isa's eyes look a little different. She had a condition called entropion, a painful condition. Isa received the surgery ASAP and is healing quite well now. It won't be long before she is looking like her old self again. Isa also came to NAAWA declawed so she can only be an indoor cat, for which she does not mind at all.

Hello my name is Luna! I am a Border Collie mix and about 4.5 years old. I came to the shelter after being abandoned by my owners. I came with my whole family as I couldn't leave them behind! I took great care of my 11 giant puppies and now that they have all found homes it is my turn! While raising my kids, I lived in a foster home and my foster mom says I was a great dog. A very good girl she says. During my time there she discovered that I am housetrained, no aggressive bone in my body, did great with her other dog and cats, did great in vehicles, am calmer than my breed indicates, love to cuddle and play, doesn't bark a lot or tear things up, crate trained, and very intelligent. She is really a perfect dog! Now you can make Luna's dream come true by taking her home! ❤️

Sasha loves cuddles with her people, does great other dogs, and loves to go on adventures. Sasha is a German Shepherd, is about 1.5 years old, and is looking for that happy home to show her all the love she could handle.

Please for the love of everything that is holy, do NOT leave pets outside our doors. Especially sick kittens. The mornings and nights are still cold. If you can take the time to provide blankets and water then you can take the time to wait until staff arrives to help them.
