7 year old albino king snake let’s talk about them!
King snakes are more commonly classified as “beginner snakes” with this we fully agree! Most kings snakes are amazing beginner animals heres our pos and cons
Pros
1.) humidity requirements most king, corn and rat snakes do extremely well in lower humidity environments
2.) Feeding, though this can be dependent on each animal most king snakes feed regularly with out missing meals
3.) adult sizes, king snakes are smaller with adults ranging from 3-4 feet long. They are hardy and do best in 48x24x18 enclosures as adults or 36x18x18 as babys & juveniles
4.) activity, if you want a snake to watch, king snakes are diurnal (awake in the day time) which means they are always exploring!
Cons
1.) food motivated, king snakes LOVE to eat. It’s common to get accidentally mistaken for food by these little guys but with work & training this risk can be reduced greatly it all depends on your animal!
2.) Musking, this is something a snake does when it’s spooked or uncomfortable. It’s pretty much liquid poo to make them taste and smell bad to detour predators- this behavior is common in juveniles or under socialized individuals.

Beautiful jungle carpet python in his 4x2x5 grow tent!
Let’s talk about it, commonly budget can be a huge factor that stops people from providing proper care for snakes here’s what we do!
- grow tents: there are several different brands and options of grow tents available as long as you don’t mind a little DIY work! This tent costed just shy of 60 dollars to purchase and add the full view window.

We added a 3D background by using installation foam, expanding foam and silicone.
We use paracord rope to tie up the branches so we can make full use of the space for this beautiful animal!
