🎆 New Year’s Eve Isn’t a Celebration for Every Dog 🐾
While fireworks may be exciting for us, they can be terrifying—and dangerous—for our dogs. Loud booms, flashing lights, and unfamiliar noises can trigger panic, causing dogs to bolt, injure themselves, or go missing.
Please help keep your pets safe tonight:
🏠 Keep dogs indoors and in a secure, quiet space
🔒 Double-check doors, gates, and fences
📛 Make sure collars and ID tags are on and up to date
🎶 Use calming music or white noise to help mask fireworks. We recently shared a trick using tennis balls in your dryer to make white noise. You would need to start this earlier in the day to desensitize your dog from the initial sounds.
🤍 Stay close—your presence is comforting
Every year, shelters see a spike in lost pets after New Year’s Eve, or dogs are running scared in cold / freezing temperatures. Let’s work together to make sure every dog starts the new year safe, secure, and at home where they belong.
From all of us—and all of them—thank you for being a responsible pet guardian 🐕✨
