We are having a great summer at Camp Daisy and Harry Stein, starting up our 2nd session. Horses will be coming home first weekend of August. The American Equine Company will be resuming rides down here in tombstone/st david/ cochise county Starting August 8th. Give us a holler to book your ride!

DOC HOLLIDAY and VIRGIL EARP ENTER A SHOOTING MATCH

On November 20, 1880 Virgil Earp, Doc Holliday and their future nemesis Johnny Behan participated in a shooting match. This original clipping reported the results the next day. After 3 heats of bullseye shooting, Virgil took 4th, Behan took 8th, and Doc took 10th out of 13 competitors. (See comments section for a break down of the three heats and further details as reported in the Tombstone Epitaph newspaper.)

The man who won, H.A. Plate, was a San Francisco resident visiting Tombstone. Plate was a gun dealer and a good shot who also won another shooting match with the National Guard days before coming to Tombstone.
