Hi everyone! Although I have already been asking for proof of rabies vaccinations, I did not have a way to track them before. My scheduling system updated and now I can add vaccination expiration dates to your file and get reminders when they expire.

I will be asking everyone again to provide the vaccination records for rabies. You can bring the paperwork to your next appointment with you or even just text me a picture preemptively!

Moving forward I will be notifying everyone at drop off and ask that you provide the information before your next appointment.

Rabies vaccinations are required by law but as always, I do make exceptions for health reasons (especially for those senior dogs.) Although the rabies vaccination is the only one I require, I do strongly encourage you to make sure your dogs are fully up to date on all their vaccinations, especially for kennel cough as the dogs obviously interact while they are here.

This has been eating at me since I saw the article.

Clients frequently ask me for boarding recommendations, and while I could name probably half a dozen off the top of my head, I won't tell you the name of a single one of them. If you need someone to watch your dog, our website has a list of some really amazing in home pet sitters. And I still strongly recommend you speak with all of them and thoroughly ask questions.

The same goes for day cares. The ONLY daycare facility I will recommend is K9 Elite. It's owned and operated by two very knowledgeable and experienced dog trainers. They operate the day care every day themselves. Your dogs will not be in a massive group of 20-30+ dogs being managed by one high school/college aged kid with zero experience with dogs. It is not just a free for all. It is structured daycare where the day is filled with a lot of pre-planned enrichment activities. They do group AND one on one training sessions INCLUDED in the price.

No matter where you are taking your pet, whether its a vet, the groomer, day care, boarding, pet sitters, trainers, etc. You NEED to do research. Unfortunately the pet industry is HIGHLY unregulated. You need to give the choices of who you trust with the safety and well being of your dog the same consideration you would give to a human child's.

A family dropped their dog at Pups Paradise and got a call less than a day later that their dog had been found dead.

Our new website is finally here! I am so freaking excited, and honestly super proud of myself because I did it all on my own.

The one thing I am super excited about is that I am going to be starting a blog on the website! It's something I've thought about doing for quite awhile now but just never got around to looking into. So when I saw my website builder has a blog feature, I knew it was time!

My question for you guys is, what are some topics you'd like me to blog about?! The blog is going to cover all sorts of topics pertaining to dogs and the dog industry as a whole. I already have a lot of ideas, but I'm sure there are things from a customers point of view I haven't thought of. So leave me a comment letting me know!
