Photos from Friday, Rhett making great progress. This week he found a subject 600feet ahead of me 8/10/25 and then 500ft ahead 8/15/25. Showing lots of skills and courage. (his report/alert to me is a bark but lately he's been jumping up to my shoulder level to bark😂 so much enthusiasm) We clock him at 20-22mph when he is covering ground 👀 Hope to start sign offs and tests this winter.

We are training for wilderness air scent search and rescue- just like Jet was. Will face normal search assignments in wilderness (Trinity, Mendocino, Placer, Nevada county, etc) of 120 acres cross country a day. He'll be a great asset for State of Calif. Lost hiker, hunters, despondent, dementia walk aways from campgrounds etc)

We are very proud of Bayside Labs Slippery Over the Rocks, "Rocky"’s CDX Leg #2! Thanks to MBDTC for putting on a great show in Prunedale! Rocky got a 195 and while he’s not perfect, we had lots of successes not reflected in the score. He also earned High Scoring Labrador! Owner/ Handler Karen Wentzel
