Nothing about this dog’s body language says calm—look at the lip licks, the wide eyes… It breaks my heart. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to be trapped in your own body like that. I’m so sorry, little buddy.

Maybe one day we humans will do better—maybe we’ll start making it a priority to learn the basic body language of our most trusted and loved companions. They deserve that much.

I do believe many of us are trying. I see it every day in my clients and their dogs—people showing up with open hearts, wanting to understand and do better. That gives me hope.

Do we know the signs when we see them ?
We may know a few, is that enough❓
Certainly not all signs are shown here, but we owe it to our dogs to learn exactly how they can communicate they are in distress....and that can be from physical pain too❗
If we take the time to read a dogs body language, it can open our eyes to a whole new way of looking at and reading how they actually feel.

The kind that feels overwhelming in the moment but builds the life I’ve been working toward. These are the days that turn dreams into reality.

🌟Right now, I’m juggling:

• Helping Zoey transition to sleeping through the night 😴 (even with an ear infection and now a cold—poor baby 😢).

• Navigating the craziness of the holidays 🎄 while soaking up special moments. ✨

• Showing up here more to connect with you and share what’s going on behind the scenes. 💻🤍

• Spending extra time with my board-and-train dog 🐾, seeing those “lightbulb moments” come to life. 💡I want to deliver the best. 💜

• Late-night study sessions for my first big test soon! 📚💪

• Staying grounded in my recovery and truly enjoying this extra time with Zane while he’s on break. 🧡👦

✿ Life is full, and some days feel heavier than others, but I remind myself that every step I take is moving me closer to my goals. I’m building something meaningful—for myself, my family, and the people (and dogs!) I serve.
