Confirmation day is the BEST day (ok I also love delivery day and drop off day and lots of other days too lol). But this is the first look at these sweet babies and it just feels like Christmas! We have at least 5 Ellie X Dennis babies coming next month! The first few spots are reserved! Please don’t submit an application, schedule a day for meeting (6 hours away one way for me), schedule a timeframe, ask me to get quotes from my transport people, say you’re going to send a deposit, and then ghost me.
That takes HOURS of my time, my transports time, me getting puppies ready for a Facetime, going over everything, getting payment plans ready.
This is my job, and I LOVE my job. But please be considerate of my time, my transports time, my willingness to drive 12 hours to help out on cost.

I’m a mom with 3 kids under the age of 5, running a business on my own, and putting my heart and soul into these puppies!

Please when you make all of these arrangements, communicate with me if things change, don’t leave me in the dark feeling defeated and like my times been wasted. 😔

With the 4th of July coming up, here’s some tips from our puppy trainers at Baxter & Bella! 🥰

With fireworks season just around the corner, now is the perfect time to prepare your puppy for loud sounds in a positive way! Socialization isn’t just about meeting people and dogs—it’s also about getting your puppy comfortable with the world around them, including noises like thunder, sirens, and yes…fireworks.
Here are some training tips to help your puppy feel safe and confident during firework season:
🎧 Start with Sound Desensitization
Play recordings of fireworks at a very low volume while your puppy is doing something they enjoy—eating meals, playing with a favorite toy, or engaging in training games. Gradually increase the volume over time only if your puppy stays relaxed. This helps them build a positive association with the sound.
🧸 Create a Safe Space
If you know fireworks will be happening (holidays, neighborhood events, etc.), plan ahead. Give your puppy a cozy, quiet place to retreat—ideally a crate or covered area in an interior room with white noise or soft music playing. Add a favorite toy or chew to keep them occupied.
🐾 Stay Calm and Positive
Dogs look to us for cues on how to feel. If you act anxious, they may think there’s something to worry about. Instead, stay upbeat, relaxed, and offer rewards for calm behavior.
✅ Avoid Taking Them to Firework Events
Even well-socialized adult dogs can become frightened by big, booming shows. For young puppies, it’s best to skip outdoor events where fireworks are expected. Instead, focus on gradual sound exposure in controlled settings at home.
💡 Bonus Tip: Pair Sounds with Treats
Every time your puppy hears a bang—even from a distance—toss a few treats or start a game. This builds a strong “Yay! That sound means good stuff!” connection.
Start now so your puppy is ready and resilient when those summer celebrations begin. A little preparation today means more peace of mind for both of you tomorrow.
