Critters on the Move L.L.C. Critters on the Move L.L.C. is a thoroughbred breeding, racing, retirement, and protection company.

Based in Iowa, COTM is dedicated to the health and well-being of thoroughbreds, while promoting safe participation in the sport of kings. As long time members of Thoroughbred Racing partnerships, we fell in love with the sport, the people, and the animals. When one of them was retired earlier this year, we leapt at the opportunity to give her a home and a new life off the track. While we plan to t

urn this into a breeding a future racing venture of our own, we are foremost committed to the horse's well-being. From the highest quality stables and facilities, trainer support, exercise, food - nothing replaces our number one priority - quality time with the horse.

Been a while since an update. Course of Events is getting weaned hopefully this weekend and moving to a place to be with others his age. Eventuality is ready to head south to get some miles in before the real work begins. She is absolutely stunning. She could do some things this coming summer if we can get her head right. Carbon Fourteen will also be a headed south for starting. He is a very big dude but is pretty athletic. Curious if he has any talent. Physically he looks the part. And lastly we have Subsequent Event, he hasn’t gotten any taller but he is wide. Looking for a start at Fonner in mid February. He should be tough to beat going 4f. That should cover all the racing stock. 2025 looks to be a fun year that should keep us plenty busy.

Tough day for Critters on the Move as bid goodbye to our beautiful mare 2nd OTTB Biancee. She was a lovely horse, best friend to Rainbow, and a good momma to Zloty Girl and Portedor, and a great Aunt to many others. Also a great riding girl. We’ll miss our big black moose. RIP BIANCEE💔😢🐴

TORPEDO ALERT, TORPEDO ALERT!!!

Critters on the Move is pleased to announce the launch and racing debut of Subsequent Event (Subse)!!!

We race next Saturday, May 11, Race 6, Post 7 (Orange), at 8:15pm CDT at Prairie Meadows! 8 horse field, going 5f, state bred, straight 3YOs. We have a promising jockey, Tyler Bacon in the saddle for us this time!! Let's have some fun!!!
