Hey all. I want to thank everyone that has followed me on this quail journey. I’ve met a lot of people and learned a lot! Unfortunately my real job in aircraft maintenance control is starting to pick up and I still want to be able to foster kittens. With nobody to help me carry the load I’ve had to cut down on something. If you are in Tehachapi, CA I’m letting things go for really cheap right now. 🤣

My alternative to oyster shells.

Tomorrow is butcher day. It will be the first time I do it myself. I feel that the most ethical thing you can do if you eat meat is to raise your own. We have a comfortable disconnect when we purchase from a grocery store.
It’s not something I’m going to enjoy doing but I feel I need to learn.
I’m always going to try to keep my birds as happy as I can so they hopefully only have one bad day.
Fingers crossed it goes well!
