Catahoula was not in my bucket list as a breed for him OR a great pryeness but looking back at it now it does explain a lot.. 🤷‍♀️😂

NOW the 5% Yorkie sure did come out of left field that really shocked me I never in a million years would have guessed that breed.

Guess our new puppy’s breed!!

On August 13th we sent in an embark DNA test to find out what our road side puppy is because we have literally no idea no parents to compare him too!

We have had some great guesses, husky, pit mix, hunting dog, Brittany Spaniel, Beagle, Aussie mix. What do you think he is?

My guess is a Beagle PitBull mix but I could be completely wrong who knows. 🤷‍♀️ just one week away from finding out what he may be!!

Today is one of those days where I do not feel like getting out of bed or even existing but these sweet babies need me the depend on me for basic needs for love and affection and that’s what motivates me every single day.

We have moved into a new chapter of life and it may not be perfect it’s stressful it’s exhausting and days like today I think to myself get up you have babies that need you more than you know. 🥹

These ferrets are enjoying their new room lay out with all the new things we have brought in.

Ferrets do get bored very quickly so we do a rearrangement once a week and a whole movement at the end of each month just to keep them entertained.

When ferrets get bored they can and will get into things they shouldn’t that’s why you should always ferret proof things and keep different toys and setups on hand for frequent change out.

A bored ferret is a dangerous ferret 😂

GUESS RANGER’S breed(s) in the COMMENTS!!!

We ordered an embark DNA test because we have absolutely no idea what Ranger is or mixed with. We want to know we do not know what his parents are as he was found on the side of the road in a box with litter mates.

THE SECRET!!!

We have been working day in and day out to make this happen for the ferrets, carpet is a nightmare to deal with and we needed a revamp of this old nasty pink carpet but ripping it up and replacing it was not in the cards so next best thing!!

After 9 runs to Home Depot and Lowe’s we finally got it all done and we are so excited about the change.

The ferrets have all new stuff that match and are so much better for them and the ferrets TUBE WALL!! That was a must for this room.

FERRET UPDATE!!!

This past few weeks has not only been stressful but somewhat saddening and I wanted to make a post letting everyone know what has been happening the past few weeks in our lives.

We started a huge project 3 weeks ago and it’s almost finished so look forward to that post but a few bumps in the road has accrued since starting the project.

As many of you know we rescued 3 ferrets in need of a new home and medical care we took them to the vet everyone got checked out and miss Cricket got her implant 2 weeks later we have been waiting for changes and it has slowly came but she is not responding well to just the implant, after returning back to our vet they gave her some medicine that she takes every single day multiple times a day and seems to be doing okay with that but her hair isn’t growing back at the rate most should be with an implant. We are doing everything we can to make her comfortable happy and healthy but her body is just not doing well but we are persistent and getting her the medical attention she needs.

Now the saddening part out of the 3 ferrets we rescued Kirby our light brown boy has passed away at this time we do not know the cause of death but I will say he was struggling with his poo always being water he was on several medications taken to the vet on multiple times even rushed to the emergency vet and then suddenly passed away. We may never know why he passed but we did test to see if it was contagious and that came back negative. We truly will miss that boy as he was the one who loved the hardest and was the shyest baby I’ve ever met 🌈

We are still pushing through we have babies to care for and we love them all so deeply and we are blessed to have gave him the best last moments as we try to give all of our fur babies the best life no matter how short.

WELCOME RANGER!!

We all hate a spur of the moment decision but with my life that’s all I ever have for some reason. From ferrets needing help to a small puppy needing a safe home I always find myself the place they call home.

So this is Ranger our new puppy we have no idea what he is mixed with all we know is a very nice lady at Walmart was walking around with his sister and my sweet hubby decided to compliment how adorable she was… well she had 6 more needing homes she had found them in a box on the side of the road. Bless this sweet woman’s heart for taking them in.

We talked for all of 10 minutes to this lady in the parking lot of a Walmart got her number and left to run other errands and about 30 minutes later I couldn’t stop thinking about these babies, one thing led to another I texted her and said we will take one.

That one is Ranger we are guessing he is about 7-8 weeks old we took him in for vaccines and a dewormer and now we are his new furever home.

Our other boy Leo is loving him so much he has been enjoying the new company and seems to be a lot happier having someone he can play with and give all his love too.

SNEAK PEEK!!👀

This is Kirby one of our newer ferrets enjoying the new couch bed that got delivered this week!!!

We have been working really hard on making this room one of the best rooms for our ferrets we have 6 now and it has been a lot of work potty training and getting them use to us.

Kirby is one of the shy ones he doesn’t mind humans but he’s not the biggest fan of us just yet and salmon oil is one of his favorite treats.

WE HAVE BEEN MAKING CHANGES!!!

We are constantly working on something in the ferret room around here and this one is big! It has been a journey from the ups and downs of trying to make everything just right and the big plans we had and have for this room.

We did have to banned one plan we had for the ferret room but none the less it’s coming along quite well.
