Not every potential client is going to be the PERFECT fit at Digit Squid, and here's why:

→ I might not have any experience in their industry, so I'll help find a bookkeeper who does!

→ They’re trying to haggle down my prices. My clients value my years of experience, and in my experience, a cheap bookkeeper is going to cost you MORE in the long run.

→ Timeline expectations are off. Months or years of messy bookkeeping aren't fixed in a day! I pride myself in taking the time to get things RIGHT for my clients, and that requires an appropriate amount of time to do so.

→ They aren’t willing to separate their business + personal finances. It's totally okay if your expenses are mixed up when you come to me, but I'm going to help you get everything straightened out and separated moving forward!

Welcome, Xero.

Last month I was invited to sit on a small panel to discuss my Xero Advisory offerings. I’ve been offering these same services with QBO since 2003. I could give you a dozen reasons why I’ve made the change, but as a 2025 Top 100 ProAdvisor (out of 600,000 QBO ProAdvisors), I’m not going to. Because you probably already know most of them.

Instead I’m going to tell you that after 20 years, we found that we can better serve our clients somewhere else.
