🚨 Your parrot won't tell you when they're sick... and that's exactly what makes them so vulnerable.
One of the greatest tragedies in companion parrot care is that these incredible birds are biologically programmed to hide illness. They can appear "fine" right up until the moment they're facing a life-threatening emergency.
Far too often, we hear the heartbreaking words: "They were acting normal yesterday." The truth is, they probably weren't. The signs were there—they were simply quiet, subtle, and easy to miss.
As parrot owners, we are our birds' first line of defense. They depend entirely on us to notice the smallest changes in their behavior, appetite, posture, breathing, and energy. Those tiny changes can be the difference between early treatment and a medical crisis.
Today's post could help you recognize those warning signs before it's too late. If it helps even one family get their feathered companion to an avian veterinarian sooner, it will have been worth sharing.
Because our parrots can't say, "I don't feel well." They rely on us to hear what they're saying without words.
Please read, share, and help us educate others. It could save a feathered life.
