Finding the right dog trainer can feel overwhelming. There are a lot of opinions, a lot of personalities, and a lot of people promising results.
This isn’t a checklist designed to convince you to hire me. It’s the list of questions I’d want my own friends and family to ask before hiring any dog trainer.
Whether you’re looking for help with a new puppy, an adolescent who’s discovered they have opinions, or an older dog who’s picked up a few habits along the way, the relationship you build with your trainer matters just as much as the training itself.
I hope this helps you feel a little more confident asking questions, getting curious, and finding someone whose philosophy and goals genuinely align with your own.
And if you’re here because you’re looking for a dog trainer in the Tampa area, I hope this gave you a better idea of the kinds of questions worth asking me, too.
Anything you’d add to the list?
