JJR Photography I photograph adoptable pets for local shelters and do odd photography jobs here and there. When I'm not taking photographs, I am working on my Ph.D.

Photography has always been a hobby of mine and I've been able to really nurture that passion by photographing adoptable pets and events for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. in ecology and spending time with my own furkids, Sophie and Skyy.

Fingers crossed for Phil!

Despite the gloomy weather, we had a lot of people come in to adopt on this rainy Sunday. A wonderful couple came in to meet with Phil because they saw his pictures on our website where he was playing in our pools and having a blast and just had to meet him themselves! Phil has been with us since February and went through Heartworm treatment but no one has ever taken him home until now. On their visit with him they fell in love with not only his playfulness, but with his affectionate spirit. We sent Phil home on a 2 week test drive and look forward to seeing them back to finalize the adoption

Dodger is a 4-year-old shepherd mix. He's a sweet guy who was pretty mellow and friendly when I met him. His previous owners describe him as playful and sweet. Adopted!
