We call her “Little Bit” or “Little Miss,” thought we officially named her Missy. She came to us through Evergreen Pug Rescue as “Delilah” after being returned to rescue twice. When I picked her up from her second foster, I was told all she knew about her was that “she had been found in a ditch.” The foster also said she was super sweet, but had known right away it wasn’t going to work out. 💔❤️‍🩹💔

Say no more.

She’s such a delight! Full of energy and a huge capacity for love. She is friends with all of the other dogs, and even likes the birds! Did I mention the energy??? She’s either on full blast or asleep, snoring like nobody’s business!!

We love our Little Bit, and while we hate to hear about an animal moving from one foster to another, we just know she was meant to be here…in our home, in our hearts! We love you, Little Bit! 💗 -Mommy

Sweet Shelby came to spend time with me this morning as I am still recouping from last week’s surgery. We’ve been working on her pin feathers…and we have made a MESS! 🤣😂🤣 AND we have made some nice Mommy & Me memories! 💙💛💙

This picture is fun…not just because our friend Ed doesn’t normally walk around with a bird on his arm, but because Shelby doesn’t usually like to step up for most people. This day, she raised her leg when we neared Ed, letting me know she wanted to step up for him! They were careful and comfortable with one another (with close supervision by me!), and it was so wonderful to see! We have known Ed for quite a few years, and we already know he’s an amazing guy…it was cool to see that Shelby understood that within seconds of meeting him! 💙💛💙

This little beauty will be leaving the rescue soon, and heading over to a lovely little Parakeet Paradise set up by bird-loving humans!!!! C & J - you guys are top notch, and we know she’s going to LIVE HER BEST LIFE with you guys!!! 💛💛💛

** She came to us over a week ago after a Good Samaritan found her abandoned in a park… She seems to be in good spirits and good health! Thank goodness! 💛💚💛

We had a fun outing last night with our good boy Harley! We had dinner at the Hawaiian BBQ, and Harley got to meet lots of new people! He may or may not have stolen some french fries! Harley loves the ladies, so he almost went home with a nice young lady! 🤣

As a rescue, it’s important for us to educate the community about parrots and how much fun they can be!
