A critically endangered bowmouth guitarfish named Fender is making his public debut Friday at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Despite their shark-like appearance, bowmouth guitarfish are more closely related to rays. They have gill slits located on the underside of their bodies.

Spent some time at the today. Had such a an amazing time. Cool weather kept most of the mammals in hiding but the aquarium was fantastic as always. I have a video of the adventure coming soon.
