Join WMAFO (that's us!) and other great rescues and vendors for the Spring Fling Ferret show in Lancaster PA next Saturday, June 6th! Meet fellow ferret owners, treat your ferrets to the best ferret bedding and supplies around and see ferrets competing official American Ferret Association sanctioned classes!. There will also be a cat show at the same time for any cat people out there!
The show is held at the Rockvale Outlets in Lancaster, and starts at 10:00AM.

📣📣🐾👇We are taking a moment to play "catch up" with the public and let you know about some wonderful adoptions we have had lately!
First, our adorable and fluffy "Susu and Siri" when to their forever home with experienced adopter Jen on May 3rd. Then, 6 month old Carl went home with one of our repeat and wonderful adopters Denise on the 19th of may, and on Memorial Day (May 25th), The Edwards family came and spent a couple hours loving on several pairs of ferrets and ended up with the very hard to resist trio: Simon, Garfunkel and Cinnamon!
We are ecstatic that these ferrets have found such wonderful homes where they can have their own dedicated loving family!
We now have to get some new photos of two new pairs that have come in recently and will be listed on Adopt-a-Pet as soon as their vaccines are up to date!

Some of our adoptable ferrets we just put up on Adopt-A-Pet! Pay special attention to the word "bonded" for both the pair and the trio!
All these guys and gals and healthy and beautiful and all have great temperaments!

Today was our regular shelter cleaning day with volunteers! Special guest Delilah, niece to our long standing friend and volunteer Erica.
In the pics you will see her hard at work scrubbing water bottles, water crocks, and also helping to mix kibble in containers! She also weighed all the ferrets with the help of her Nana. We also had Bryce back to volunteer today and he is an absolute natural at dressing cages and loving on ferrets. Everyone did a great job today and we were done deep cleaning and playing with the ferrets by about 1pm.
Shelter mom loves Saturdays because it is the one evening a week I don’t have to clean boxes and cages before I go to bed!
It was a fun shelter day for everyone!!

Join the AFA and ferret enthusiasts this Saturday the 11th!

Come to the York Fairgrounds/Horticulture Hall on April 11th to join the American Ferret Association's Spring Nationals Ferret Competition! Admission is $5 per adult and $3 for children. Lots of vendors, door prizes, raffles, judging and more! We will be showing off some of the great vendors who will be there each day until the show! Doors open 10AM - 5:00 PM
Door prizes include 43 inch Fire TV. Bring your ferret’s best Easter bonnet for our costume contest
Attendees are welcome to bring their ferrets to do some shopping provided they have proof of vaccinations upon entry to the show hall, exhibit no signs of illness, and are contained in a ferret appropriate carrier.

We fully support our sister shelter Oxford Ferret Rescue! Families are welcome to attend their annual fundraiser. Although ferrets are not permitted in the building, there will be many fun ferrety things being raffled, auctioned and for sale!
Claudia relies on this ONE a year event to pay off so many vet bills!
