Well pump update: June 13, 2026.

We have successfully acquired all necessary materials for the pump replacement, with the exception of the pipe.

We are currently in the process of working on this as this message is being composed.

The well will be undergoing treatment, so we will once again be refilling water jugs at our neighbor's residence. We extend our sincere gratitude to Sheila Cagley for her exceptional kindness and assistance in ensuring our pets have fresh water, enabling us to wash dishes in the portable dishwasher, and providing access to showers in the portable shower. But most importantly, keeping water in their water bowls!
While the portable dishwasher represented a notable investment, it proved essential in maintaining our operational efficiency.

We are actively seeking opportunities to retain this valuable asset for our dog run. However, its continued use is contingent upon securing sufficient funding to offset its cost. Should any parties be interested in contributing to the retention of this crucial appliance for our dog run, we encourage you to contact us. It is an indispensable tool for our operations.

Finally!!! Just got the pump out of the well!!

This pump was made 2001!

Update!! 10:30pm June 8th, 2026.

The problem is definitely the pump and the wiring. The wiring rubbed on the casing and the pump is 25 years old! Since the pump was put in when this home was put in, the pipe needs replaced as well. We are doing some more research to get a better cost to do it ourselves. We where contacted by the well guy this evening as well. They are also going to give us a quote hopefully tomorrow!

When it rains it pours!!

The well pump may be bad and we cannot afford to pay for a professional to come out and our founder and her husband cannot either. The pump went out on Friday, 6/5/2026 around 1 pm 😔.

Since the rescue is located on our founders personal property, this belongs to the founder and her husband. However, this is how the dogs get their water to drink, water for bathing and water for cleaning the buildings inside and out (sanitation). We are doing the best we can to do it ourselves, but its a pain!

If you would like to donate to help our founder and her husband pay for a pump and/or a professional to come out, please let us know ASAP! We will know the size of the pump once its pulled up! Our founder and her husband have already checked and replaced breaker and switch with no avail.

We have called a professional, but because its the weekend and due to it going out on a friday, we have not heard anything YET!

Since our founder and her husband works for Culligan, we are able to carry water to them using 5 gallon water jugs from the company. (They bring it to the rescue feom thier work).

We have also ordered a camping shower that heats water so the dogs can get a bath for the event this coming weekend 😀. It should be here today ? We plan to return the camping shower due to the price , because technically, we cannot afford to buy it, but its needed!!

Our founder and her husband and child will utilize a gym shower 🚿. 865-421-8227

Introducing Bella.

Bella joined our organization in January, marking five months since her arrival. She was rescued from a neglectful situation through our outreach program.

Approximately 13 years old, Bella is remarkably energetic. She is a Pitbull mix, known for her friendly demeanor with children and other dogs. We can arrange a cat compatibility test upon request.

Bella is current on all vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She is quite vocal and enjoys snuggling. She walks well on a leash and loves going for walks. Additionally, she is on a preventative regimen for fleas, ticks, and heartworm.

Bella is currently available for adoption.

Should you have other animals, a mandatory meet-and-greet will be required.
