This is Koukla. Our inspiration for Golden Pawz Rescue. Koukla means beautiful/doll in Greek. When I first saw her picture on the Bonita shelter of San Diego's website I knew we had to go get her immediately. Little did I know that she would be the best little doggie I've ever met. At 7 years old, how could someone have abandoned such a wonderful little soul? She has brought so much love and happiness to our home at just the right time. She barely ever barks and is so calm and relaxing. As many who meet her say, she is a perfect therapy dog. And that is what she is, exactly! We just celebrated her 8th Barkday and she's found a new spring in her step. Our first little rescue Dexter! He is 9 years old and when we rescued him, he was in dire need of a full makeover. He is the sweetest little lap dog, a forever cuddler!
Connie and her husband tragically lost their sweet doggie to a coyote a year before, and Dexter has now filled their hearts and home with love again. Dexter is now living the best life full of cuddles, treats, and love. 🐾 💙 Darren Crawford

Golden Pawz Rescue is on a mission to prove that senior dogs are like fine wine… they only get better with age (and maybe a few extra naps 🐾)
We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome older dogs who still have plenty of tail wags, couch cuddles, and unconditional love left to give. Sure, they might be a little slower… but that just means they’re experts at relaxing and loving you harder. We primarily adopt our Golden Pawz Senior doggies to Golden Senior "Pawrents" as well.
At Golden Pawz, we believe every gray muzzle deserves a golden second chance. When you lovingly adopt, you’re helping give these sweet souls a soft place to land—and a forever home where they can finally kick back and enjoy the good life. ❤️
