We had a windy and bitterly cold start to the week, but work must go on.
Walks are tuff for Cammie. But slowly she is learning she goes where I go, and hitting the breaks and climbing the leash and throwing a fit are not options. Such drama 😆 but they all settle in after a while and realize its not such a horrible deal.

Place is going well on the whole especially for a Vizsla. She has a nice calm side to her 🙌

This little potato is 21lb!
I dont know where she hides it because I feel like she is still small. But she is solid.

Quick visit to the vet for an exam and her Rabies..she was not keen on the exam table but was very good and patient. Once on the floor she was back to all wiggles. And due to our early training work at the vet she kept hopping on the scale ready to be paid 😆

Look who arrived for training this week, Cammie the Vizsla. Don't let her unimpressed look fool you, she still has lots of fun here.

She has boarded with us a couple times as a puppy and came back to start her board & train program.

A few favorite habits of Cammie, thievery.... I already noticed a clepto streak when she came as a puppy. Quick to sn**ch up anything left on the floor or within reach of her crate, her stools are proof of this too 😆 as I type this she is reaching for the crate cover despite the 3 dog chews in her crate. 🤦‍♀️ vizslas man. So thats one we will watch and coach owners through. She also loves to pull on leash especially towards others, and though she isnt grown she is strong. So heel will be a very helpful command and will also give her a much better mental outlet on those walks. She is not keen on big trucks on walks but is already improving there. She also will get to help with chores as I hear her and the vacuum are not friends.

Busy 3rd week for little Josie.
We took a field trip to Home Depot to put her skills to the test. She did great and was very patient and calm as we shopped. Even passing another dog who growled at her and plenty of people. We managed to run into a friend and she showed us all her progress she has made with greeting people. She didn't jump and thoroughly enjoyed the attention.

Don't mind the vest, I didnt realize it would be so large until we got there. 😔 But it helped keep some space from strangers wanting to say hi. Her goal is to be a service dog for her mom so its important she learns to focus more on her handler than others. She did great

Tandem work with little Josie and our girl Oakley.

Tandem place, Josie looking all cute... Oakley unimpressed as she rather watch neighbor cats. Heel went great, Josie surprised me and settled right into work, no funny business with Oakley. 👏

Did some heel work around Oakley too while she did a down as walking in tight spaces between dogs and not engaging can be a challenge. Something we run into often at stores etc when out with our pups. Heel is heel (neutral calm following not engaging with other dogs) no matter how close that buddy is.

Miss Josie is striding into her last week with us, hopefully she will come by for some daycare and boarding later on.
She is doing great with our walks, nice relaxed attentive heel is our goal.
