Right now, The Paw Print Project is working toward professionally producing our 2026 donation campaign video, not as a promo, but as a way to tell the truth behind why we exist.

That story starts with Pumpkin, a dog who escaped 17 times and ultimately lost her life. Her story exposed the gaps in our system and became the reason this organization was created.

This video will honor her, highlight the animals still at risk, and lay the foundation for sustainable foster networks, stronger accountability, and real change.

We’re building this carefully. Because it matters. 🐾

Puddin’ is a sweet senior girl currently under hospice care at Isle of Wight Animal Services. She’s living with mast cell tumors, but that didn’t stop her from soaking up every moment of a special day out.

Today, Puddin’ got a break from the kennel, and she made the most of it. Fresh air, gentle walks, soft beds, belly rubs, and lots of love. She wagged, she smiled, she reminded everyone that even in hospice, life can still be full of joy.

Puddin’ may not have a long road ahead, but she deserves comfort, dignity, and happiness every single day. Thank you to Isle of Wight Animal Services and everyone who made today possible for this beautiful soul.

🐾🎃 Thank You for Making Our First Event a Success! 🎃🐾

Yesterday, The Paw Print Project had the incredible opportunity to participate in our very first community event, the Compact Canine Rescue’s 4th Annual Halloween Fest!

We had an amazing time meeting so many wonderful people (and pups!), sharing our mission, and connecting with others who care about saving lives through fostering and rescue. From giveaways to our dog basket raffle, we were blown away by the love and support - with over 70 raffle entries! 💜

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by our table, entered our giveaway, and helped make our first event such a memorable one. Your encouragement and excitement mean the world to us as we continue to grow and make a difference in Hampton Roads!

🚀 Big things are happening at The Paw Print Project!

We’re starting to build out our network of strategic partners to strengthen the support we can offer animals, fosters, and local rescues.

Our website and donation funnels are in the works, and we’re not far from launching our first t-shirts that will help spread awareness and raise support.

Step by step, we’re building something that can truly make a difference—and we’re just getting started.

🚨 Big news: The Paw Print Project is now officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

What started as a vision to save at-risk shelter animals has become a reality. This opens the door to more resources, partnerships, and the ability to scale our impact in a way that changes lives—both human and animal.

This is the launchpad. Next steps: building stronger foster networks, expanding community chapters, and bringing on partners ready to transform animal rescue in Hampton Roads and beyond.

To everyone who’s supported us so far: this is only the beginning. Let’s get to work.

The Paw Print Project is looking for a licensed legal counsel in Virginia to join our Advisory Board as a volunteer.

📜 This is a non-voting seat, but your guidance will be instrumental in helping shape the direction of our organization in its early stages. We’re building a scalable, foster-based rescue model, and we need a sharp legal mind to help us do it right.
