One of my most recent matches was the incredible Layton Family! They had never had a family dog before and their son was so excited to get his first dog. They wanted medium size, a dog that wanted to chill during the day with dad, but be a hiker and active dog on the weekends, just like the family. Work hard, play hard is this dog's motto! Max is living his best life with this family. Great adoption from Buddy Dog Humane Society.

So after a long break from being an official "Mutt Matcher" I am back! I haven't been too out of touch as I have spent the last few years not only starting a family and watching my sweet pups get older. I have been still helping friends find wonderful mutts to bring into their families. I have only been doing word of mouth work for a long time and will be posting some of the amazing pups that have found homes over the last few years. I will be inviting new friends and posting new articles to get back up and running. Until then, if you are thinking about adding a new pup to your pack, or know someone. Most of my matches lately have only been by word of mouth or for family and friends, but it is always nice to brag about another good match! I got Patty her sheltie mix Bailey almost a year ago and he needed a buddy, so this week we found Captain! He is a pom mix and is already settling in so great into his new family!!

This is a pretty quiet page lately as I really only do referral clients any more, but when Rebecca contacted me, I knew her and her husband would be incredible dog owners and it so happens was their perfect day to meet Mary Anne, now Lola!! Well it is official! I guess it should be announced. As of last month I passed all my requirements from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) that I am now a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. This has take a lot of hours and a lot of work. I will always continue to better myself as a trainer as that can only help with those looking to find a new canine companion. Thank you to all those who have helped me this far. Just call me Ashley Lang CPDT-KA!

Barbara went last weekend to a Big Fluffy Dog adoption event. She met Harwell. He was big, not fluffy, a little goofy and not really good on leash. But there was just something about that goofball. She walked around, met all the other dogs. Just couldn't keep her mind off of that big boy. 100 lb loveable lap dog. He has been home a week and is loving his metro lifestyle. This country boy moved to the city and is doing great! He had his first trip to the dog park on Sunday and had a blast!! Thank you Big Fluffy Dog Rescue!
