🌿 A Decade Of Smith River Labradors 🌿

We wanted to share an update with everyone who has supported our program.

Haley’s most recent breeding was unsuccessful, and we’ve decided to have her spayed. So for now, there will be no more sweet puppies.

We’re also looking for loving retirement homes for some of our adult girls — Haley, Peaches, Windy, and Maple. Our hope is to find homes where they can enjoy their next chapter and all the love they deserve.

Over the past ten years, we’ve built this program from the ground up, and it’s been so rewarding to see our creative and unique efforts come to life. We’re grateful for the puppies, the families they joined, and all the memories made along the way.

If you have one of our puppies, we’d love to see photos or hear your favorite memories in the comments. Thank you all for your support, encouragement, and love. Who knows what the future may hold — we’re simply grateful for the experience and for all of you who were part of it.

Remember our girls Maple + Windy?! They are still looking for their retirement home! 🌷

These two sisters have been together since birth (8/15/20) and we’d love to see them spend the rest of their years side by side. A farm with plenty of acres to explore and a river to splash in is a plus! These girls thrive on wide open spaces where they can run, play, and relax together.

Both are spayed and ready to enjoy a slower pace of life with a family that has lots of love to give. If you think you’re the right fit, send us some information about yourself to be considered— a perfect match for the girls is our top priority. 💛

🐾 2026 Breeding Plans 🐾

We’ve made the decision to scale back our program this year. While we truly love raising our sweet Labs, this season of life calls for a bit more focus on our growing families. Because of this, we are currently only planning one litter in 2026.

We are currently waiting on Haley’s cycle to determine an exact timeline, but it’s looking like late spring to early summer for a black and yellow litter. We are not accepting any more deposits until pregnancy is confirmed. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like more information on this potential litter, and we’ll be happy to add you to our contact list.

After blessing us with three wonderful litters, Peaches has officially entered retirement. Due to her history of C-sections, this decision was made with her health and well-being as our top priority.

As always, we appreciate everyone’s patience and continued support as we let our girls lead the way and prioritize what’s best for Smith River Labs as a whole. We’ll be sure to share updates as soon as we know more! 🖤

Happy gotcha day to six sweet families!! 🎁

We were able to snap pictures of these two cuties before sending them home in their adorable Tails and Trails Shop bandanas!

We can’t wait for the rest of the families to meet their pups in the coming days. 🥰

Due to no fault of their own, second pick deposit spot for these beautiful girls has opened up! Deposits are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The first pick family will choose between the two puppies next week, and the remaining puppy will go to the family holding the second pick spot.

If you don’t have a preference between these two girls and would be thrilled with either, now is your chance! This is our LAST available chocolate for the foreseeable future!
