What I love most about being a CVT is building lasting relationships with people and their pets. This is the reason why I started Right At Home Animal Nursing. Thank you for the kind review, Jamie and for trusting me to care for Kaiya!
This review is long overdue. Lauren has been coming to our home since October 2025 to help administer subcutaneous fluids to our 13-year-old Shiba Inu, Kaiya. Anyone familiar with Shibas knows they are not the easiest breed when it comes to veterinary visits or treatment. While Kaiya isn’t a typical Shiba in many ways, she is definitely “spicy” when it comes to things she doesn’t want to do, so I knew I needed additional support.
I was initially apprehensive about in-home treatment since our home is Kaiya’s safe space. However, she requires fluids every other day, and our veterinary office is closed on weekends. I first met Lauren at our vet’s office at the start of Kaiya’s Stage 4 renal disease diagnosis, and I am genuinely grateful for her care.
The first couple of visits involved some trial and error to determine what worked best for Kaiya, but Lauren consistently prioritized providing the best possible care. When Kaiya became reactive, Lauren quickly recognized that having me hold her helped keep her calm. She was patient and worked with us to establish a routine that was calm and stress-free.
Lauren has truly been amazing, and I would highly recommend her for in-home pet treatment. Her calm, patient, caring, and kind demeanor makes a world of difference. She never rushes, takes the time to ensure both you and your pet are comfortable, she is truly a gem and we feel incredibly fortunate to have met her.
