Let’s talk about scammers. I feel the need to do this because once again some said to us that we are scammers- I guess because she twice said she wants a puppy but twice I have told her that all my puppies have homes.
First we would like to say that if you have questions about the authenticity of a breeder certainly ask them for references of people that have adopted a puppy from them previously. Honest quality breeders welcome your questions. They are happy to video chat with you in real time so that you can see the pups and at least the mom (sometimes they don’t own the dad). Most breeders will let you come to them to see the pups if you are in a nearby area. They may ask you to wait until the pups reach a certain age, to wash or sanitize your hands before you touch the pups and sometimes wear shoe covers. All this is to protect the health of these tiny little lives that they are responsible for. They will never ask for money sight unseen for a puppy. They will have a written agreement that they provide to you when you make your deposit. They will send you pictures and updates, videos or video calls so that you can see your puppies progress. In their written agreement they will have a statement that if you can’t care for the puppy at any point that they will take the puppy/dog back because they don’t want them to end up in a shelter.
Scammers will do the very opposite of the above. The cost of the puppy will be lower because they want you to put that deposit down or pay in full. They will be unable to video call. They will not be able to talk with you on the phone. They will push you to make a deposit on a puppy you have only seen in a picture or video that they stole off the internet. If you notice we mark all our photos to prevent someone from using them in that way. We once asked about a puppy, we asked about a female they sent us a picture of a male and we went oh this is a scam. We even asked again is this a girl and they said yes when clearly the evidence said boy if you catch my drift. They are very smart most of the time and very convincing.
Please be careful when purchasing a puppy.
